How did Great Wroggi even survive against Anjanath? It's head was in its mouth and was being used as a flail. Wroggi are sturdy as fuck. Imagine though if in expeditions, some Turf Wars resulted in death, such as the Great Wroggi turf war. Some are too brutal to even survive, and their gear generally gets out dated relatively quickly so there's no harm in it. Or even if certain parts are broken, such as Tetranadon's face being broken when Goss Harag absolutely fucks his shit up. It'd be a cool little detail.

so, tetranadon vs small bears, tetranadon vs goss, bishanten vs almudron, mizu vs zinogre, aknosom vs somnacanth and magnamalo vs flying wyverns... only 6 turf wars that aren't brought directly from World, that's a bit dissapointing... I was so hyped for turf wars when seeing them in the trailer, I didn't think most of them would be just world's turfwars. in comparasion, World had 15 unique turf wars on release (by unique I mean that they used completly diferent animations, so like, diablos turf war against rathian and pink rathian count as one) don't get me wrong, I really love rise, I think it's really fun and has some of the best monster desings in the series... but I can't help to feel like the more I play it, the more I realize how much stuff is missing

Like the new ones are just Mizu vs Zinogre, Magna vs flying wyverns, Tetra wrestling with something half it's size, Tetra getting it's ass handed to it by Goss, Bishaten vs Almudron and that's it. Everything else was in World and brought over, or reworked to include more monsters, with some of them just not looking right like Rathalos vs Great Wroggi.

@Evan Zebrowski I really appreciate the encourgament you always give on my videos, so I'll try and get the rest of the turf wars. Although, I have to admit the next one might be late, only because I've tested pretty much every combination and have maybe one more new one so far since the release of this video. In MHR they really made it harder to trigger turf wars so it takes multiple tries to sometimes trigger a turf war.

I was hoping they weren’t gonna do copy pasting but it’s worse than ever. Seeing Rathalos struggle to lift raptors like they’re huge, Aknosom stay in the air with Magnamalo, and Rathian use her feet like a Rathalos (she shouldn’t be able to) just all feels really wrong. It’s also weird that Tetranadon ties with Goss Harag? But whatever, it at least *looks* organic. I hate that Capcom feels that turf wars need to be ties or have benefits for the player or whatever. They should be pure spectacle and worldbuilding imo.

@Goji I also had my hopes up after seeing the turf wars in the trailers, but it looks like they had other priorities and just recycled to save time. Yeah I think a lot of people feel the same way when we saw rathalos struggle to lift a kulu-ya-ku. I'm not too annoyed though, the game itself is just overall really well made and the combat for me feels better than world.

The copy and paste is even harder than before I agree (and we should have gotten more unique ones considering how many are reused), but Rathian being able to carry prey with her feet is within her ecology to do, her and Rathalos aren't very different aside from their tails and sex; That said, she should have aerial tail flipped the monsters after she downed them with her claws and spat fire at them.
