What an amazing piece of engineering the final drive chain is. the amount of power,torque and shock it transmits is eye watering but they rarely break.

Some of those swingarms looked a bit sketchy. Interesting that Europeans like hillclimbs to be really hard such that only a few riders hit the top, while US hillclimbs are more like sand drags on an incline with maybe a jump or two where every single competitor makes it to the top, so all that counts is ET.

You can tell if they're going to make it up to the top. The guys who put their feet down usually dont make it. Number one rule. Always stay on your bike and keep your feet on the pegs and ride it out.

If a motorcycle could be made with front-wheel drive, the wheel would be touching the ground at all times. Although the steering was carried backwards (using rods or some mechanism). Better yet, two motors inside each wheel, with half the cubic capacity each. And traditional direction, of course

they are working on awd dirt bike but the front wheel is gonna come up sometimes regardless. Would be a liability for the front end not to be able to come up. -You gotta lift the front wheel over trail debris.

you could enter a trials bike but it wouldnt make it to the first step up, not enough Horsepower no matter what you do to it
