She hasn't simply changed college softball she's added her name to a growing list that's changing women's sports in general. What people like her have done is make watching their sport good and that goes for many sports these days. There was this perception that women's sports weren't good enough to watch. What Montana Fouts and others have done is just crush that and swept it away. I'm Australian but went to U. Illinois. During COVID I watched a few Illini games and then YT started flagging other games. I haven't stopped watching because its sport that worth watching. Its played with great attitude and great passion without any of the annoying commercial hype. The only thing I don't like is the Illini aren't playing at this level, but not many of our teams are. The stunning thing in this interview is the remark that Women's softball wont be in the Paris Olympics. I just checked and that stuns me but there will be break dancing. 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

I’ve never been a Bama fan and I probably never will be unless one of my girls ends up going there (Go Vols), but I am a Montana Fouts and Coach Murphy fan. I can’t say I’m sad that Bama is out of the WCWS, but I’m definitely sad for Montana. She has been a role model for girls both young and old to look up to.

I like Patrick Murphy but you guys shouldn't even have been here in the first place he were given an incredibly easy path here.. you guys beat Long Island Middle Tennessee State and northwestern.. and it took you seven games at.home .. in your run to the world series you did not play one team from the ACC SEC Big 12 and pac-12

I'm a Husky fan. Their path was even easier than Bama's to get to the Women's World Series. Huskies didn't face a single Power-5 team on their way (beat Northern Colorado, took 2 of 3 from McNeese State, then swept UL-L in the Super Regionals). At least Bama faced Northwestern

I watched the two games with Alabama in the world series and they played lack luster. They showed up on the field, but they did not act like they wanted to win, it was just a go through process to lose two games and then go home. I can see why Oklahoma wins so many games as they play with fire and determination and never give up and I did not see that in the Alabama players or coaches! It was a shame to watch them play so poorly.

That's what happens when the players fail to generate any hits to produce runs. I watched almost every game and saw it from every team that lost. I saw a lot of players just swing at a pitch bc they felt they had to and simply turn and walk away bc the pitcher was dominating and her whole team was down.

Murphy ya had no bats this season which is cardinal sin ya can have a stellar defense and top notch pitcher but if you can't put the ball in play yer gonna lose in competition of top tier teams which is exactly what happened and that's solely on coach you Murphy
