I'll get jumped on, no doubt, but spend quality longer time with the herd you have now, and resist the urge for another rescue (at least until better situated). Oh boy do I know how hard it is when you have a lot of horses and you get damaged. I don’t have a husband but I get a man I pay to do the basics when my back goes but it’s very expensive when you don’t earn much. Us horse women really know what hard work is!

So sorry you have/had pain. I'm 71 and we all need to keep in mind our bodies do change as we get older. You have arthritis now so you need to listen to your body, because not every day your body will feel the same. I was so happy to see that your hubby was helping you! Tell him we're proud of him and appreciate the time he put in. It's not overlooked by you or any of your viewers! ❤ I hope you will consider getting a daily young part-time helper. It's not only going to help you out, but it will help the young one know responsibilty and learn good animal husbandry. A good life experience for them.

Arthritis is hard . Rest and heat as much as possible . Thank your husband for us he is definitely a life saver for you and the horses. I hope your pain and stiffness gets better . I live in Pennsylvania and I get the same way with my arthritis. As it gets colder the arthridic joints stiffen more. Hubby really deserves great appreciation from all of us . Shoveled snow at the SVHC this AM, and fed one horse. I could be there all day, there is so much to do, but being a volunteer, I can sneak out when my hands get too cold. I am so glad your hubbie is helpinwith the heavy lifting. It's really sweet to see him here. I also spent some time on BLM site after your post, checking out the unsold/adopted stock. As a former RMT I hope you have as good a team of Physio, Osteopathy, Chiro and Massage Therapy as your critters have Vets! Make sure your issues are treated properly. You were my motivation to get out and mow my yard (it’s just over 1/3 acre). It’s a balmy 40F here in Oregon (Willamette Valley) and the sun is out!
