Great winter walk Henry. I agree with you about public access, providing the public do their bit and respect their surroundings. In the forest here we have so many people who drop litter, which seems to have got worse since lockdown, for same reason. It's the time of year for long shadows. I like you have made that a feature of the walk!

I am living in CA and I decided to take advantage of remote work during the pandemic and explore other states. I started from Montana, I will be staying near Missoula during January. Seems very beautiful, can't wait to visit Montana.

Bawb the Revelator Despite being unable to walk much less travel or even clamber onto the tamest of treadmills for the least challenging of virtual exercise walks I'm humbled by walks from a Montana resident I know only as "Henry." Henry has a gift for minimalist description and lets the surroundings advertise themselves. I cannot escape concluding that year-round residents hold part-time Montana vacationers and their wealth and celebrity at arms length amusement. Were my children ever to live there they would bring willingness to work very hard at whatever their jobs and earn respect from Henry and his fellow residents.
