I met my husband of 23 years at a stoplight as I was pulling into a gas station. He asked for my number, and I was just a teen back then who hated pumping gas, so I told him if he wanted to help pump my gas tank, sure. We’ve had our bumps in the road, but I think the best advice I have is to never lose sight of the friendship, remember your priorities, and always try to communicate and listen.

I think doing some of your regular activities would be a good place. Maybe going to the gym in the evenings when it would be busier, or weekends on the roller blades. How about a volunteer project or animal shelter. Or a part timeish job at a health store, and a cute customer asks you out. Do they have any outdoor activities such as a concert in the park or amphitheater. Do they have a local hiking club to join?

Now that one corporation has bought out 99% of the dating sites, they pull all the strings. They hide messages. I know this bc I got to talking to a guy on one years ago, we weren’t a match, but I can talk vehicles, fixing appliances, home maintenance, & analytics. So we did some experiments with a couple of sites for 6 months. Right off the bat, there’s options for women that aren’t available to me & vice versa. That causes contempt when someone thinks you’re not being serious. But then, if everyone was able to contact their dream person, the sites would be losing monthly revenue.

I think you are correct / you have to be INTENTIONAL. You have to manifest your desires and then intentionally act to attract them. I really feel like we also have to work on being our best version of ourselves and if that is not resolved, then you won’t find the ONE. I met my husband online 11 years ago. He is not my usual “type” at all but I was very ready for a relationship at the time. We have had our fair share of ups and downs and times when I felt like I didn’t want this. Hey Danna, just a thought, I see there's a unitarian universalist congregation in St. George. That might be a cool place for you to meet very open spiritual people. At the beginning of covid, I made a cheerful, colorful sign that said 'hope' and put it in our yard by the street. I met people walking by while figuring out how/where best to put it and they all loved it. It stayed up for about 6 months before the weather finally did the sign in. I keep meaning to do more signs like that that are positive.

I/my husband/fam are UU’s. Such an open and accepting place. Just beautiful group all over the country and world. We were married my a lesbian UU minister and I love how unlike most organized religious groups; Unitarian Universalists are simply believers in light and love and respect and compassion for all. So I didn’t follow the rules of giving you 4 words to finish your “Morning Sun” song on last video and certainly got carried away by writing what is best described as a poem for you. Anyway, I had fun creating it & if resonates you are free to use any or none if not, No Big! ✌️ Here goes… Morning Sun, You ground me & bring me back to who I am Your warmth untangles the strings of my heart Your force frees my mind to give a damn You turn my attention to intention As you escort me through dawn’s dewy grass To escape the ensnarement of negativity Meditating truth, I’m not defined by the past With the dawn comes a moment to be present With the dusk, reflection, regroup & recharge A simple bed to lay my grateful head A respite from road & living life so large Your shine so highlighted & aura enlightened The full moon relay-whispered what I had said As yesternight day be done, a melody sung This tune midnight slumbered my cares to bed Gonna rise up with Sun, settle down with Moon Build hearth & home on hillside of town All is Well with my Soul, I will sing out Manifestations wind-sweep my family found Morning melody written, a chorus to emerge An orchestral patter of little feet Ms Independence meets her partner in life Deserved love, hopes & dreams now complete But what I envision, simply & most of all Basked in first light’s waking embrace The moment his smiling gaze turns to mine & I witness “Our Morning Sun” kiss his face
