You can swim in a pool but the doctor will want your cuts and punctures completely healed. I was in a bad car accident and my left foot was fractured and my tibia was shattered., I had over 300 staples and they would not allow me in the pool because of all the punctures in my leg. Eventually I was allowed in and then my real healing started. The water kept me from getting stiff.

Good point about the danger of infection from open wounds. A good guideline is to clear everything with the doctors. They are the ones with the medical degrees.

Driving tip for the young ones: A great way to learn how not to be in an accident is by watching motorcycle videos. I recommend Dan Dan the Fireman on KZbin. He got tired of having to scrape people up and is now explaining what behavior to look for in other cars and traffic and just scenarios. I have a small motorcycle but I also use the lessons while driving my vehicle. His videos have made me ultra aware in ways that I believe help me to a avoid scenarios or have an escape plan. I am not recommending getting a motorcycle, trust me, but the videos are worth watching, they teach you what you can't learn in books. People send in videos from all over the world. As far as insurance goes, a permit doesn't make the price go up too much at all, but having the actual drivers license will. So have them quote with each so you can see the difference.

23:07 Aqua therapy, they have you walking and exercising your leg muscles in water it feels great. Ive had to do it before. Its not a big impact on your mucles to start with and after that, theyll have you on a bike and treadmill at low immact.

A word of caution. ..watch the knee scooter. I used one for 8 weeks. They can dump in the floor quicker than you can believe. And they don't just turn over, they sling you out from the scooter. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you. Get well quick.

I am excited you are doing so well! But a word of warning as you move on to your next stage of recovery. Be very careful how soon and how much you do. I know a guy who tryed to do stuff to soon and he ended up bending the pins in his arches. And they could do anything about it. So all he went through was pointless. I will put the disclaimer that he was a teenager and very big for his age. The Doctor thought it would be fine in boots for a hour because he was in his sister's wedding. They could decide it it was too soon, or because he was so big. (He ended up being 6'9") but I really would hate to see you harm yourself. Blessings for you and your family!

That knee cart looks exactly like mine does that I still have and that I rode 4 years ago for a whole 4 months when I crushed my one heal. I praise God every day that I today can walk normal. Those 4 months were no fun but I can tell you today my patience level is no comparison to what it was 4 years ago. Beautiful Bible, looks like an everything Bible they are so nice. We have had 27 kids give their heart to Jesus since September, so exciting. We’ve had 12 at the High School. Mountain Christian School Dawson Creek where I’m the Pastor Chaplain. We are looking at the Everything Bible for these kids. I’m so blessed to be a part of what God is doing here. I am loving life and loving Jesus. Do pray for these kids. Some of them are from non Christian homes. Our enrolment is around 200 in the elementary School with another 100 at the high school.
