Happy Birthday Wyatt. You had an awesome meal your mom made, and that cake was my favorite, too. I have a birthday in 2 weeks and will request the same cake. Happy first year anniversary in Alaska to you all. Wow, that went fast, and you accomplished so much. Happy 19th Anniversary Joas and Priscilla. I wish you many more as your family and adventures grow into blossoming memories to last a lifetime. Those views were stunningly incredible and breathtaking. Being in the great outdoors that our our creator blessed us with makes us renewed in spirit. I miss that so much now that my mobility isn't heat it used to be, but I have many similar memories of hiking in on both coasts of Canada. Today now is Canada Day, and I, for one, can say I feel very privileged to live in a beautiful country. I look forward to more adventures. The roof looked fantastic. This is a wonderful video! Can hardly believe you’ve already been in Alaska a year! You are all busy every minute and you accomplish a huge amount of wonderful things! Priscilla, your breads were so lovely to look at and more delicious to eat, I’m sure! Joas, you guys worked hard on that roof and got it all done before the rain came, so that was great. It looks like Prince William Sound, LOL. The view much like Patagonia, Chile. Alaska and southern Chile much alike. Chile's pacific coast is 4,000 miles long, from a desert climate by Peru in the north to the tip of the South American continent into Patagonia which is much like Alaska. A narrow continental country, however, considered an island nation. Chile is a maritime nation with incredible mineral resources. Chile is considered the wealthiest country south of the United States. I truly love seeing the wonderful videos. Videos are done well. Only the best to the entire family.

Its 98 degrees in Florida today so walking across river looked very inviting to me! Beautiful scenery and great views at Portage. We walked up to the face of Worthington glacier in Thompson Pass and people were going into the ice caves. All I could think about was hoping they did not get squashed by sudden ice movement! Please do NOT leave Alaska before taking the drive from Glenallen to Valdez as it is one of the most stunning scenic drives in the entire state and frequently overlooked by many visitors to Alaska due to it being kind of out of the way. Great place to take the RV or stay in motels for a 2-3+ day adventure. Also has fantastic salmon fishing along the Copper river. Homestead is looking GREAT and enjoy watching your progress each week. Didn’t realize you went to GirdWood. My husband and I flew into Anchorage and then drove to Gird Wood, off season. It was a wonderful place. Two things that made it exceptional. One, we met Nic Petit. He is a musher who runs the Iditarod. We went to his camp and met his dogs, etc. We have been fans every since. Second: we watched the Bore Tide as it came in. We found a drive out spot and actually watched people surf. We had to follow the surfers and tide along the road. Some surfers fell immediately while others went a great distance. Hope you were able to see it. I had never heard of it until that day! Thanks again for a beautiful video. You had a lot of content…wow!

You're right about it being hard finding a good steak up there. I highly recommend getting the pepper steak at the Double Musky in Girdwood next time you're there. It's pricey but one of the best I've had up there and one of the best overall restaurants. Hope you all are able to get some more fishing trips in this summer. Get someone to show you the Kenai/Russian River if you're able to.

Beautiful scenery! I have a photo of my daughter when she was not quite two sitting in a patch of wild roses on a hike we took just outside Anchorage. She is now 51 years old! I imagine Anchorage has grown a lot since the early 1970’s!

I remember how that seemed like such a challenge for Priscilla. I got the feeling. Now that you are in your home and everything is coming together everyone seems very happy. I’m glad.
