MONTANE SPINE RACE 268 MILES | It Takes A Lot Of Gear

In this video I go into great details about the mandatory gear requirements for the 2023 Montane Summer Spine Race in the UK. The course runs 268 miles from Edale, England to Kirk Yetholm, Scotland along the entire length of the Pennine Way National Trail. Runners cross 4 National Parks in the process and cover nearly 40,000 feet of vertical gain while only receiving aid and assistance every 40-62 miles for a total of 5 checkpoints. This type of self-supported race requires a great deal of gear as well as nutrition and water to be carried through the race. I am sharing my complete gear list along with reasons for each piece of gear.

I have the UltraAspire 600 which detaches like that. Being able to remove the light from the belt is SO useful. Much easier to replace the battery, and you can use it as a flashlight when replacing the battery on something else (a Fenix head torch in my case).

Thanks! Are you referring to the Coros GPS watch USB charger? "COROS Keychain Watch Charger". The other actual power banks are made by Goalzero Flip Series and the Novobeam NBP3000. I can't find the name and model of the small multi USB adapter, sorry. HTH.

Not an issue anymore, finally located some Nikwax down detergent and down waterproofing treatment.
