Very tempting as i do some southern hemisphere trekking. I love the Gobi desert edition caseback. But there are two issues - a push-pull crown with no crown guard on an £5k outdoor watch you might depend on is a bit of a no-no... (i've had a Victorinox watch crown with a crown guard pull out just by being moved around in my bedside table drawer); and bronze is darn heavy which conflicts with getting equipment weight down. Even 40 grams is something that needs to be fully justified. The bund strap is lovely but not something i'd use and yes, the hole kind of defeats the cold weather purpose.

Steel case, darker brown leather with white stitching and no stupid hole defeating the purpose of a Bund and it'd be damn near perfect. Still beautiful.

Perfect looking watch but, as usual, way too large. Why do watchmakers think that most men have viking wrists? This should have been 38 or 39mm and 45 or 46mm lug-to-lug. If it had been, they'd have sold a lot more and Jomashop wouldn't be massively discounting it.

Interesting complication, interesting execution, but boring case profile, no doubt to cut costs in the latest era of Montblanc price structure w/in the Richemont lineup. Would have loved to see such a concept executed in a prior era of Montblanc.
