Montblanc Writers Edition Jane Austen Unboxing and Review

This is absolutely a beautiful pen. I have been eyeing it for awhile… Maybe I will really have to buy it soon HAHA. By the way, I have the Jane Austen Ink. It does looks like gray when you first swatch or write with it. However, give it a day or 2 and go back to your writing, you will noticed that the writings turned to be brown or amber colour. I believed, that is how the ‘Umber’ name came from. The concept is to show Jane Austen as a mysterious lady and the umber means “shade”. You have to consider getting it. It’s an interesting and beautiful ink.

The Jane Austen really is a lovely pen, very oversized compared to other pen brand models, but a gorgeous pen!

This is a great unboxing review, Dave! I am so glad you bought this Jane Austen pen - it's gorgeous! I have the beautiful Jane Austen Bicentenary Pen from Bespoke British Pens, Ltd. MB has wonderful 'Writers Edition' pens.

Thank you, Dave, for another one of your always so detailed and informative review videos! This fountain pen looks so good - colours, shape and ornamentation seems to be just right. Unfortunately (for me), the pen is way too big and girthy for my hands. What a pity. Looking forward to your next video. Edit: Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite would be my recommendation for the ink.

I love this pen, I just bought one. Pity the nib is a size 6, 8 would have been better. I think it is a fair hommage to one of the masters of the English language.

Yeah I wish a lot of the Writers Editions would have #8/9 nibs because it would make it look better with the larger 149 size of pens.
