This is my favorite sandwich! When I lived in Reno I would get one at least weekly. It was battered then deep fried and it came with berry compote for dipping. 🤤

Here’s an idea, make French toast sticks with the remaining bread and save it for breakfast the next day, or freeze it for a quick breakfast. Great for kids rushing to school

Usually they are Texas toast bread deep fried in a batter for French toast with powdered sugar on top and raspberry jam for dipping , they are decadent, this one is lighter but affordable!
