So let me ask you, why isn’t NATO bombing Kiev for the oppression and crimes against 8 million of its own Russian minority citizens for 8 years long?? And why isn’t NATO bombing Turkey which occupies E.U territory in Cyprus and invades neighbouring countries like Syria and Iraq whenever it feels like it? Oh and Kosovo! Why doesn’t NATO bombard Pristina for not respecting the rights of ethnic Serbs ? But I guess what applies for Serbia doesn’t apply elsewhere. You my friend, are the perfect example for hypocrisy. Many small countries have a cute, old world charm to them. Unfortunately, money is king and many “sell out” to larger countries or organizations. China, EU, NATO and others offer many places like this quick opportunities to dig themselves out of financial trouble, but oftentimes it creates new problems. But with all that said, Montenegro probably has the best looking flag in the world. All the best!

Literally a mafia state where local elites (mafia, corrupted politicians and tycoon oligarchs) use nationalist identity politics and boogeyman like Russia, Serbia or Serbian Orthodox Church to divide population and divert their attention from real life problems. Meanwhile those same elites are closely connected to Serbian elites (another similar mafia and tycoon state) and all of them were Serbian nationalists less than 30 years ago (some even involved in war crimes), just switched the side to NATO to maintain their criminal activity. Even the part about Russian influence is ridiculous, just 17 years ago they were selling valuable real estate near the sea to Russian oligarchs to fund their own independence from Serbia. Only recently they became anti Russian and joined Western hysteria against Russia. It's an authoritarian and corrupted mafia regime. And of course NATO and the US don't care at all about democracy, human rights or corruption. What they need is an obedient regime. And that one in Montenegro perfectly fits them. Same goes for Serbia as well.

Montenegro does not have a russophile population. Cetinje that you have mentioned is probably the exact opposite of what you described it to be. They are known for being alligned with now opposition DPS party which has clearly distanced itself from Russia over the past few decades. In the north for example, very little percentage of population is russophile - as muslim population there prevails. Russian influence in Montenegro is down to an influential political organization - Democratic Front - which has itself collapsed recently and has moved to accept western values more. Their leaders approve Montenegro joining EU and nobody in the parliament argues about it. The Serb population advocates for good relations with Russia, but it's not something that can get us stripped of EU.

I'm half Montenegrin from my father side and been visiting Mne every summer since I was a kid. The country has many issues! However I've never seen so much filth and aggression like this summer! Trash everywhere, beaches are mostly destroyed since they mainly have low cost tourism. On the other hand you have soulless towns like Lustica and Porto Montenegro where all the russian, ukrainian and local mafia live... The country is pretty much collapsing in my opinion. Such a shame. I've got this feeling this summer that the country is intentionally being destroyed by the EU and local politicians... however, in the media they present the situation completely opposite from reality.

Certainly not collapsing. We are the most stable in this region. The picture of incredible ethnic division from this video is a pure propaganda. I am Montenegrin and have my entire life spent in Montenegro. I have lived with Serbs, Roma, Bosniaks and all other kinds of peoples - conflicts of such kind happen very rarely. As for the trash problem, it is a problem basically in the entire region - people have very little discipline on that matter and there are no strong government measures like in the west. Still, places like Durmitor and Bjelasica, Prokletije are still full of nearly untouched nature and rich ecological habitat. And I have no idea how you got to the conclusion that EU is destroying us.

China built roads, is building roads, and will build more roads to help other countries to grow. However, nothing is free, and agreement/contract represent mutual understanding from both sides. That being said, the west always frames China to set up "debt trap", and always make nonsense charge to leaders and governments in those countries who sign deal with China. it's pitiful the west simply makes noise and does obsoletely nothing while China helps other countries (especially those in Africa) to build badly needed infrastructures.

And even more ironic is the fact that they enslaved entire continents for hundreds of years, exploited their land and people and even in the neo-colonialist period further debted the African countries giving them no space for progress only to get rich enough and then give them all independence and pretend as if nothing happened. Even if China's ultimate goal was to debt trap all these countries, that kind of imperialism is still more humane than the one they practiced and in part still do.

There’s been incredible positive changes in the last 10 years on the EU track. Anyone who ignores Montenegro’s hard work is a cynic.
@99Boiko
@99Boiko 10 ай бұрын
What hard word? The EU is a corrupt dictatorial behemoth while the only movement toward it had been the Djukanovic regime and now his replacement Abazovic sucking up to Brussels' diktats. Macedonians rejected EU membership in a 2018 referendum which was ignored. Croats got through on a technicality: 66% in favour from a 61% turnout meaning over 50% voted against or boycotted. Reliable polls show Slovenes are not satisfied. Bulgaria was forced in without a referendum. And now those countries are all having to accept EU diktats (reimagined as "values") whereby LGBTQ fidelity is being enhanced to replace traditional family value in the region.... The people cherrypicked for this mainstream publication are few and far between.

Montenegro needs to distance itself from serb politics and the spc. The serbs tricked Montenegro into war against Croatia in the 90's. Which they are well aware off and now are trying to distance its self from the government and serb policies.

Montenegro is just a small country used to asimilate the Albanian population by the Slavic powers. Albania is sorrounded by its population and small countries, like Monteengro, Kosovo and Macedonia. Even in Greek there are territories where Albanians used to live, until they were exterminated and kicked out - search for Chameria, Greece and you'll see
