Usually check all the big hotels and then drive between downtown Monterey, Carmel and everywhere around that area and you’re guaranteed to see great stuff

Some of the events are really expensive 200-1200+. Hotels are around 2-5k for 5 days. Just a lot of money is needed for car week. 8k+

If you split with 4 people and don’t go to every event cause honestly even just driving around is great 3k ish each you can get hotel, food, rental and flights pretty comfortably

To make it as cheap as possible you can get a hotel room that isn't in Monterey for a normal price (if youre willing to drive 30 mins-1 hour) and not go to any of the events and still see most of the insane cars.
