Montessori: The Pink Tower

The Pink Tower is one of the Sensorial activities in Montessori.
There are ten wooden blocks in the Montessori Pink Tower and the child must build the tower from the largest block up to the smallest. Through doing this activity, the child learns patience and will begin to differentiate sizes; dexterity is also improved.

Hi Smita, thank you very much! I will try my best to make a video on how to do this. But I will try and explain it briefly here first. You can ask the child to assist you in taking each block one by one, always remembering to hold each one with two hands to the floor mat. Show the child first how to hold it, and then they should follow. When the activity is over, and you are ready to back away. The same procedure occurs, where you and the child place each block one by one back onto the shelf. I hope this helps! Thanks again for following Wonderful Montessori. xxx
