Monteverde is home to one of the highest concentrations of biodiversity in the world. One of the largest preserves is the Children's Eternal Rain Forest. In a tiny area called the Bajo Del Tigre, there lives one of the most unusual birds in Costa Rica, the Bellbird. It took a good part of the day, but I was able to photograph the Bellbird for several minutes. You'll hear it's (very loud) series of unusual vocalizations.
In addition, I was lucky enough to get some great video of a magnificent Blue-Crowned Motmot, a Masked Tityra, and an Emerald Toucanet.
Although the video is not as long as usual, it's packed with colorful and interesting birds, insects, and flowers. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it for you!
Special thanks to Bajo Del Tigre and my expert spotter Matthew "Eagle Eye" Walls.
