I remember when this video was made. It was a beautiful and amazing house. It was across the street from my aunt road. I always loved this old house.

Just in case you didn't know, although this song was written with the intention of describing a break-up, it can also describe going into your new apt. all alone because your old 1 was shared with your loving, sweet mother, whom of which you spent your whole life taking care of & you just don't know who the hell you are without her passed away. And not just any new apt., but a cold, dark, lonely 1 with very little food because you can barely afford to live on your own, as your mother paid the rent & you're paying on your truck.

If you believe in Jesus Christ as Troy did, you know that T-Roy is now as happy as a man could ever be. He is meeting the Lord and he feels total peace and love. It's not an ending to him - it's a glorious beginning. And the best part is that he knows that his loved ones will be with him in the blink of an eye in the big scheme of things. He is happy. He gets it. It's not an ending at all. It's the continuation of the journey that was always his. My condolences to those that were close to him. You'll see him soon if you believe. You will!

I cannot believe it 's been this long . One afternoon when this was new , I was standing helping the guy at the feed store back in Oklahoma load the horses feed and this came on and we were sort of singing to it when he just put down that bag of feed and we belted out the last half of this song in downtown Madill , Oklahoma lol it was epic , all those people staring at us .. Rest in Peace Troy , Thanks for the Memories .

Mango what about Randy Travis, Keith Whitley, Turnpike Troubadours, The Allman Brothers, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Little Jimmy Dickens, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Hillbilly Jim(just kidding), wtc. Also this isn't "bubblegum" pop it's pop country with some real country flavoring added into it and it's a meaningful and good song. Stop being a music douche know it all and enjoy the song or get off of this video. There's no reason to be so negative. I'll tell you a really fake country band, Midland. They make decent music but not country AT ALL.
