I did exactly what you did, math and all, after seeing these designs on Pinterest! I was laughing as I watched our parallel thought processes. I made my block into a pillow and I love it!

A pillow was my original plan but I decided on a small wall hanging. I have a video on that coming up soon. Thanks for watching.

I never thought to make the "petals" of the snowflake different lengths...Beautiful! Love this idea!

I wish I could take credit for that idea. Thank you for watching.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. It makes a beautiful snowflake. I am pleased that I easily found a 15 degree triangle on Amazon so no need to stress over trying to figure out how to make the blades. Happy Holidays!

You are very welcome. Check out the video description for the original designer information. I'm going to look into that 15 degree triangle. If I decide to make more of these, that would really be a time saver. Thanks for the tip!

Made my very first Dresden Plate, and now I’m hooked. I really want to try this. Your snowflake Dresden is beautiful. For those who think it’s too much work, maybe you never made a Dresden Plate, I suggest you give it a try, it might be easier than you think. 🙂

I have several quilts with dresden designs. They look intimidating but it's just basic sewing/quilting. Sometimes they don't lay flat but you can usually adjust that pretty easily.

Dresden plate is my favorite traditional block. Your block is now one of my favorite iterations! Thanks for all your hard work to make and share this!

Hello!!! Judy here from Oklahoma!!! I just now happened upon your channel. I have only been quilting about 3 years, but sewing most of my life and I am 69. I am totally and completely addicted to quilting. It is my therapy and I love it so. Thank you sooooo very much for sharing this block with us. It is very beautiful and I am definitely going to get the pattern. I hope to be able to make it some day. Again thank you for sharing you talent and taking the time to teach us. God bless. ❤

Hi Judy! I totally understand what you mean about your quilting. There's something calming about giving all your attention to a quilt project. I find that I think more clearly while I'm hand stitching. I am so happy that you stopped by. You should give this one or another Dresden design a try, it's a fun block.

Thank you so much for subscribing! I found the block to be very attractive. You can find information on the original designer in the description of the video. Thanks for watching, glad to have you here. I am currently working on a follow up video taking this single block into a small wall hanging. I hope to release that video in the next week or so.

I have just discovered your program - you teach this block in detail but not overwhelmingly. Your ideas for variations on this block are great! Of course I subscribed right away. Thank you for your class.

That's good to hear. It's difficult to know just how much detail to go into.

So lovely. Would you share what type of iron you are using? I don't recognize it.
@shamrockquiltstudio16 күн бұрын
It's the Dritz Mini Iron. I have a review of it in the Tips and Tricks Playlist. I've seen it recently at Michaels. Be sure to use a coupon or buy during a sale. Glad you are here.

Funny, I just watched that video this morning. It looks like the same thing, just different fabric choices. The iron is the Dritz Mini Iron. I have a review of it in my Tips and Tools playlist. Check it out and try to catch it on sale or using a coupon for the best deal. Thanks for watching.

Don’t know if you are acquainted with Cheryl Phillips of Phillips Fiber Art, but she has just about every wedge template with multiple patterns available. If you don’t know her work, I highly recommend looking her up. I think even she would be impressed with your beautiful snowflake block done without a template! I know I am.
