I’ve been on a 6 month low-buy since December. I look at a polish and ask myself if I have something similar, is it a really stand-out polish or will some brand do something similar in a few months. I haven’t bought from PPU since Nov. ‘23. I’ve shopped but I keep telling myself, “You don’t need that.” Changing seasons helps because you get to wear previous years polish and you just enjoy what you have. This month was really tempting. I had 4 polishes in my wish list and couldn’t narrow it down to one so I deleted them all and didn’t look back. It’s not easy but it is a mindset. Loved the video. Janixa is a sweetheart.

I went crazy on PPU in February and March. I bought 4 to 6 polishes each of these two months. Doesn't look like much, but the shipping to my country is expensive, so these things add up. Then I bought some polishes from Nailland. Convinced myself it was a gift for achieving a milestone, but now I want a couple things from HHC with no justification for why I am allowed to treat myself. In short, I need to be looking for a new hobby 🤣

I've been on a low buy lately cause one, I'm broke, two, i have no more room, and three, my mom thinks I have too much polish LOL tbh my mom has been helping me break my habit of buying nail polish all the time, so I've only been buying stuff that really interests me (such as toppers n such) it's not much, but hope this helps! great video as always! always curious in what ppl buy each month or in general ❤

I just reorganized my nail space & spent a lot of money to get it to a place that’s perfect for me. It helped me see what I have & know what limited space I have to work with. I’m hoping to spend less & use more now that I know what I have & what I like.

Thank you for sharing the crackle polishes. I was in my professional phase back when crackle was cool and only wore plain polish. Glad to see they were restocked, so I picked up a couple. If you stick to the no buy/low buy, in my experience you start comparing the new to what you already own and realize it’s not necessary to buy them all. Hope you feel better soon. Chronic headaches/migraines suck.

also on a low buy and also resisting the cirque and PFD release. it helps that neither of them is a limited drop, which i greatly appreciate since my low buy is due to conflict with the concept of employment...in that my entire industry is deteriorating and everyone needs a job lmao. i did cave and get ONE from PPU this month, first of the year! yay me except...the shipping to Canada was bonkers for one polish. but like. if i got more polishes to 'divide the shipping between' that's actually not saving money, which is a tough mindset to crack. but it's also the only polish i've bought this year (i think) so whateverrr. ToT

I'm at fault for your Femme Fatale box after an IG DM, and I'm not even sorry. I have successfully sustained a low-buy for a month or so now. At any given time the list of polishes I've bought but haven't arrived yet is usually at least 40-60 (but keep in mind this often includes two or three rounds of PPU and sometimes HHC through our group buy host here in Australia, and I often send small purchases to a friend in the US to send to me once there's enough to make international shipping worth it) and one time was as high as 117. But it's been less than 20 for over a month now and for a few days it was just 4. I'm not saving though, the money seems to be disappearing elsewhere because of who I am as a person I guess.

You don’t need to explain why you chose not to do PPU. Everyone’s budgets and priorities change. Enjoy wedding and honeymoon planning. 😊 My tips for a low/no-buy: unenroll from all of the advertising emails and stop following the nail polish brands on your preferred form of social media. 😂

I'm on a low-buy. I'll still allow for scrubs, cuticle oil, top coat and base coat. IF I really want, I'll buy. The plan is to move (uncle will take over care of grandma, mother will take over painting her nails) and my current nail polish count is 98. I'm okay moving with 100 (obviously, grandma will get her favorites) but anything over that just feels like something will break. Saying "you can only buy 2" has really made me look hard at what I want. Of course I want the Persephone collection, but that can wait until I've already moved. In the meantime I *try* to aviod looking at limited time collections and offer to buy friends/family the ones I want but can't justify.

They come with a nozzle cap to put on for a more controlled dispense!

The best tips are delete NP channels and unsubscribe from NP emails. I’m losing at this right now but I’m committed to keeping my collection under 200. And don’t watch any random NP videos because then they just come up in your feed to tempt you.

@@Purplenpinkk 👍🏻 I’ve had much more but, for me, I want to love all that I have and wear it all. I love to see people’s collections and think it’s great to have as many as you want but I (probably make myself) feel guilty if I don’t wear them all. I have fill lines on pretty much all of my polishes which surprises me. That just means I’ll used them up and get to buy something else. 👏🏻
