Did you guys move on TN visa or h1b to usa ? What are your plans of filing a green card ? Time frame ? If in TN visa can you elaborate on the process ?

Salaries really depend on the Geographic Areas. In most services related occupations, the Salaries in NYC are higher than than those in Toronto with almost similar expenses and taxes.

You forgot about the monthly property tax by the city (for homeowners). It can easily be upto 1000 - 1200. $/month.
