While we understand your expenses,but donot know what would be earnings for average Americans and average indians.i was told indians mean only software engineers and those people in usa termed very highly skilled and the moment they land in usa with H1B.,they become America s middle or upper middle class as many of earn more than 6500 us dollers .whereas American mean income for teachers,administative assistant or any government employees seem to be less.so your expenditures may be like higher class American system.even many place in india dose not have bus facilities but we can not think of buying a car but in usa people think because of 1.money 2. New place 3 language.all expenses you said in Indian context is luxury.instead of spending your time you can tell us how public toilets are maintained,library works, government office tour , generally what American eats ,good and bad .greetings from chennai.
