Lovely to see you back! Looking forward to the Bayeux update. Your new book sounds interesting, I love to learn more about Viking and also Anglo Saxon textiles etc. so I’m going to check out the link you posted when I’ve sent this.

Great to see you and get an update. Sounds like you’re a busy lady. Classes and workshops: skill levels I’m not a beginner and I doubt most embroiderers interested in the Bayeux Tapestry are either. If you actually teach workshops you need to let folks know skill levels that are required in the workshop. Perhaps a few introductory classes on the five stitches used in the “tapestry” and how tos? For those of us who already use those stitches, we can watch just to relearn the history, if not for instruction. The transferring of the pattern will be fresh information. Most of us embroider using iron on, or washable markers to embroider. Ancient methods will be “new” info. I’m sure anyone having attended the Royal School of Needlework will be more familiar with the older methods, but my grandmother taught me and she used preprinted or iron on transfers. She never mentioned the prick and pounce method though she taught me eons ago. :) Looking forward to your next video.

Argh! It's just lost my reply. OK, here we go again. Thanks for you thoughts on the workshops. They're really useful to have. I grew up with iron on transfers. I remember having a big book with a pink cover. The designs were so pretty to me that I didn't want to cut them out and use them. I did use some in the end but not many. I spent so many hours just looking through it and imagining how I'd stitch them
