Yes! Two blades are more efficient than four blades. I just wanted to try it by myself!

@@MontisTube But how do you think about using 3 blades . Every one say that type generate enuogh lift , have a smooth and bare fly ,just slow than 4 blades a bit
@weirdscience83417 жыл бұрын
For these types of quad I've found rjx 3 blade 31mm propellers with a 250 mah crazypony battery seem to offer a good long flight 4 mins with the camera and about 5 and a half without and that's agressive flying

i have my props chopped to 2 blades and i get around 6:50 flying slow circles. and around 7 if i take the canopy off. And this is when the lights first start to flash, that's when i stop flying. this is with the battery it came with so i don't know why i get a longer time. ( maybe altitude above sea level??) but i have to agree the prop mod certainly adds flight time.
@MontisTube7 жыл бұрын
MGiles , you've got very good results! flight times can differ depending on many factors. one of them can be battery degradation. Mine was charged countless times, so possibly degraded. Thanks for comment!

and loose trust?
@MontisTube6 жыл бұрын
Yes, you loose some air grip, agility and thrust. But you get more cruising time.

I put 2 blade props on the rear motors and the stock 4 blades in front and it feels like it made the drone a bit faster. It flies great but I’m new to the hobby and was wondering if doing that is going to cause any damage to the board or motors? I haven’t seen anyone else doing this
@MontisTube4 жыл бұрын
Motor is actually having less stress with fewer blades. Nothing bad should happen. You just have to know that brushed motors have limited lifetime and degrade on every hour of the use.

Sorry but how I can see the voltage allarm?
@MontisTube27 күн бұрын
You can't. It doesn't have voltage alarm. But if I remember correctly, you can see the led ligths start flashing when the battery gets low.

My battery is damaged I get only half a minute flight time *Planning to buy new battery should I go with 150 mAh or 250 mAh ?* 250 mAh will also add some extra weight😢

I would go with 250mAh battery. You need a very good 150mAh battery for it to fly good.

@@MontisTube thanx bro , But 1 Question ,*after watching ur video* , I hav already chopped off 2 blades of each propeller, Will they still be able to fly with heavy 260 mAh battery with better flight tym ???
@MontisTube5 жыл бұрын
@@funnyodia317 I think you'll be getting enough flight time already with the 4 blade props and 250mAh battery. Try it. 2 blades may be too week and feel sluggish.
@exposer33395 жыл бұрын
the weird thing is, in my mind with 2 blades you need more throttle to generate the same amount of thrust, thus the amp draw would be the same. But clearly it is not, does somebody have an explanation for it? What's the science behind it.
@bibhudattamoharana13355 жыл бұрын
that's simple2blade is also less resistance to air than 4blade
@marcelogouveia96144 жыл бұрын
The 4 blade design: there's more weight and with the blades too close to each other "probably more turbulence as well"... Most single engine airplanes use a two blade design.

@MontisTube3 жыл бұрын
Yep, you can. Use sharp knife 🔪 and be careful not to cut yourself. Mine were cut from 4 blade props.

@@MontisTube thank you. I get one soon
@Powershotknecht7 жыл бұрын
I think it is the weight that is slightly lower.
@MontisTube7 жыл бұрын
Nope. It's the efficiency. Three bladed props are more efficient than four bladed and two bladed props are more efficient than three bladed. Thats why you get longer flight times. But you loose some grip.

How much time fly when full charge
@MontisTube6 жыл бұрын
Electrical world, on 4 blade props up to 5min and on 2blade props up to 6min of flight time on fully charged stock battery. The battery quality matters greatly. On better batteries you'l l get better flight times.
@Dylan120000000000004 жыл бұрын
How does that affect its performance outside? Cool vid man
@MontisTube4 жыл бұрын
Less blades makes less air grip, thus slower recovery from drops, flips, also more inert on corners/turns. The control is a little more sluggish. This was just a proof of the concept - less blades are more efficient when hoovering, but actually the difference is less noticeable in acro flight.

But one plus at the 4 blades props:They are for racing drones, and the drone is faster with them! And racing drones dont fly for a long time, even the pro fpv racingdrones only fly for about 3-5 minutes!
@MontisTube7 жыл бұрын
arielfuturspeed you are absolutely right! 4 blades provide more air grip, faster recovery from the flips, rols and you have more agile behaviour on turns.

Now hold your horses before you buy 2 blades they won't have the best performance as a 4 blade which is commonly used in drone racing the 2 blades dont have a very strong thrust and its recommended if your going to not race drones but need some power it's best to use 3 blades
