hey Andy. you said you built a mini in the 250z form. can you tell me what the video is called. I'd like to check it out
@tristramneal22828 жыл бұрын
Nice video - I'm just getting into quads and your videos are particularly eye-opening! One question: in order to power the little fpv camera you stuck on top of the Eachine E010, did you have to remove the plastic casing and solder the camera's power wires to something on the circuit board? Or is there an easier way? At the moment I have a JJRC H98 and a Mould King 33041, both of which I'd like to attach a little fpv camera to if possible, but am unsure of how the power set-up would be. I've seen videos of some bigger quads with two connectors coming out of their batteries, one of which can be used to power an fpv camera, but what's the best way with ones that don't? Thanks in advance; excuse my ignorance!

The range of the E010 is poor. From one room to the next, the signal is very delayed and often drops out. Other than that, the quad it self is great. Which batteries are you using in the E010? I installed a fpv aio cam on mine and get around 1 minute before its unflyable.

Both EMax and Doinker 82mm are brushless quads. The EMax binds with the FlySky Trannis using the little button on the quad's mainboard. In any case the gauntlet has been thrown and micro-fpv racing thru the wiener balloons tacked on hallway walls is now all the rage and coming to an indoor location near you. Electron Pro now has 220mAh 45C batteries for the Inductrix, which is up from the 200mAh ones that come with their new fpv ready model. Both old and new models use the 15.12mm can inrunners, so dimension wise they are the same, but without testing the internal capacity we can only assume likewise. As far as the blades and surrounding structure, they work like micro-turbofans using the airflow "induction" principles so in theory you have 4 "jets" powering them and any mods to them will hinder rather than help. Maybe later there will be a "Shootout" of all of them, but in the meantime just fly-em like you need to beat your little brother, or vice-versa.

I don't understand why people are having issues with flight time on their stock blade inductrixes. I got mine a few days ago and it came with the standard E-flite 1S 3.7V 150mAh 25C battery. My flight time is about 4:18 on average when I don't crash. Maybe I just got lucky and got a good battery?

E010 manual is... entertaining to read. they must have saved at least 10$s on not having proper quality control on that. from being a life long gamer, learning the reversed "mode 1" as you called it is pretty confusing but nothing too hard. that said i agree i would prefer "mode 2" as that is closer to how you would fly a craft like a drone in a game. all said, the E010 is very easy to fly and will handle first time pilots like myself. surprising to see how much longer it flew.... i knew it was a knockoff but i really didnt expect it to do better like that.

@Mr3Kidneys8 жыл бұрын
It seems like everybody talks about the "blade protectors" as if they're optional and just for protection, they're not. They are not just a unique style of props, they are EDFs, ducted fans, not regular props at all. They have totally different aerodynamics and are the electric equivalent of a jet vs a prop. The result is a narrower, higher velocity jet of air that is more directed than standard props. That's why they have prop "guards" that are actually air ducts for directing and compressing the air. It's also what gives them they're unique flight characteristics, and why they have wider blades, more blades, and blades with a more aggressive angle.
@AndyRCchannel8 жыл бұрын
that would be true if the motors were running at 10 thousand rpm but they arnt. take the protectors off and it makes 0 difference... do that on an and see if it flies
@Mr3Kidneys8 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it would still fly for sure, you're right on that, but they still serve a pupose and there is a difference. They reduce/remove the vortices at the tip of the blades and increase the pressure, overall making them more efficient. That's the whole idea with EDFs. PS, I really like your channel, man!

For the past year my slightly larger Syma X11 has been carrying the FX797 just fine with good power and 5-6min flight times. I'll probably just stick to that or get the QX-90.

Nearly 4 mins flight time is excellent for this EO10 unmodded and with FPV. Will be interesting to see if firmware updates (acro) and 7mm motors put this on par with the Whoop. Ill have to put one in the cart. Good review Andy...as always.

Great drone! The JJRC H36 is even better. JJRC is the orginal manufacturer of this drone. Eachine buys it rebranded from JJRC

Id love to get an FPV micro, but im still checking out the options. One thing for sure: I do want one with the protected duct-type motor guards. Not for damage, but for the fact you can "bump around" flying into things & carry on without crashing or having a prop come off. The QX models you reviewed look fantastic & work with FrSky out the box & have betaflight etc - thats brilliant!, truly! but they don't the duct guards. hmmm...
