At 2h pm on Saturday July 25th 2020, fire crews from the Montreal fire dept were deployed to a structure fire at the corner of Eugenie-Tessier Street and 91st Avenue. They engaged in what would end up being a lengthy four alarm fire battle that lasted until late in the evening. Heavy flames spread along the attached units and damaged over 20 apartments from which residents had to relocate. The important blaze mobilised numerous emergency services in the otherwise quiet suburb of Pointe-aux-Trembles located in the most eastern part of Montreal Island in Quebec, Canada. Scorching temperatures created an additional challenge for firefighters, some of them were assessed on the scene by paramedics and one was transported to hospital. No other injuries were reported and residents from the neighborhood along with various humanitarian organisations have organised a fundraising for the disaster victims.

No sense of urgency, pull hose of the truck and stroll casually with it to the fire. Stand by the ladder truck and watch the fire, yep that works every time.

I guess you being a retired firefighter never fought a row home fire before have you? would you suggest an interior attack? of course not, that would be stupid, Perhaps the fire spreading throughout the common attic areas , but you being a retired fireman would already know that.... and your opinion on fellow firefighters is stupid which leads me to believe you are full of shit and just an arm chair fireman watching to many response videos

It's been said before, but it's worth repeating. Take buildings contructed using cheap, lightweight materials, and built with inadequate firewalls (or none at all), and this is what you get. Fire just rips throught the roofing area with little to stop it. Quebec is usually at the forefront of safety and environmental regulations, but obviously not in this case; building codes were not strict enough (or not enforced). You have to wonder what influence the building industry lobby might have had in softening the regulations. Not just in Quebec, of course - this happens everywhere, as KZbin videos show.

What a sad and poor performance, no sense of urgency, walking like they are going on a coffee break. The ladder drove past the fire and had to back up. And when they finally where ready to raise the ladder the fire had moved 2 blocks further. I thought there wasn’t any slower and disorganised FD’s than in the U.S. but I stand corrected. 👎🏻

I hate being critical by just looking at a fire video, but I will never understand especially this being a dangerous well seated wind-driven fire why do fire command opt to waste time with worthless hand-lines that have little to no effect on the fire, while multiple ladder companies take forever to go into operations??? What's going on seems to be construction fraud as suppressed in Ontario. Fire codes require a minimum of 1 hour fire protection between units. In Ontario the public housing construction fraud is untouchable as it involves the freemason imperialists. Are these rent geared to income apartments also? Careful you may get exiled as I did.
