@@ElenaWalks that train seems to be faster
@quelquun68124 жыл бұрын
@@jaxieredu on the orange line, you’re right. On the green line and the other ones, no, because the azurs are limited in speed by the older models not fully removed from the line. They will only truly be able to be faster, for shorter travel times, on these lines once the mr-63 and mr-73 (old models) will be fully gone. Though, they still aren’t at their full final speed even on the orange line for now, because some things still need to be done and organized for that to be possible. That said, they will truly reach their maximum once automated (which they are made for and capable of, because it is planned in the future) which is for “before 2040” (on the orange line, the rest of the network should follow) according to STM. They need to place quay doors and infrastructures on the rail before being able to fully automate it, without a driver still partly controlling. Edit: Fyi, the old models (a mr-73 in this case) can be seen at 14:10 and after, on the green line.

Line 3 of the metro (aka the REM) is set to open in 2022-2024. Line 3 will consist of three routes: Route A from Rive-Sud to Deux Montagnes, Route B from Saint Anne du Bellevue to Rive-Sud, and Route C running from Central Station to the airport. Additionally line 6 (the pink line) and line 7 (REM de l’Est) are also planned, with Line 6 running from Montreal Nord to Lachine and Line 7 running with two routes (Route D from Central Station to CEGEP Marie Victorin and Route E from Central Station to Pointe aux Trembles).
@wonderror95463 жыл бұрын
The pink line isn't happening anytime soon though, which is a shame. I think they should at least consider building some sort of diagonal line between downtown and the future blue line station at Pie-IX and Jean-Talon... Rosemont is in dire need of rapid transit.

Hi Elena, no one says any thing in the video clip. You should say how much does 8t cost for the ticket? How does it work with the metro direction etc...
@ashenlonel69234 жыл бұрын
Hello,I live in Montreal,a ticket cost 3,50$,The same price to take the bus. You can also buy a card called OPUS that you can insert digitally at a computer(you need a special card reader to do it) or at a metro tickets and memberships in.The monthly cost for adults is 88.50$(right now but it might change)for elderly and students his 53$ The direction system in Montreal is very simple,The stops are related with different colours,they are 4 lines, Green,Blue,Orange,Yellow(only 3 stops if I remember right).the lines intersect at some stops.here’s a map of the metro system: www.theurbanist.org/2018/03/14/map-week-montreal-metro-map/ For exemple,I want to get to Berry-Uqam (The center of the city)and I start from Saint-Michel, I would need to go too Jean-Talon and go take the route to Côte-Vertu to go too Berry-Uqam.
