Fast forward to 2023 where the village is but a shell of its former self. I was a village queen in MTL from 1998 to 2019 and the village has fallen from grace in a hard way. The clubs are overtaken by straight men selling drugs and their girlfriends who pick fights with the gay men. After nearly 20 years of feeling safe in the village, I was attacked in 2016 outside the Sky nightclub and luckily only beaten moderately. The security I once felt there is no more. This, coupled with the fact that most other clubs and gay-owned stores have either closed or converted to mainstream businesses sets the scene for a village that has lost its shine.

This was posted in 2020 but it was filmed a log time ago, as some of the buildings in the video are long gone, as well as some of the bars. Montreal is a great city to visit and live in. It's also good for gay life.

You are correct. The series aired on Citytv in 2004-2008 and then was cancelled when Citytv was sold to Rogers.
