1989 my place was at the same block, (Between saint viatuer & st-Urbain) that was our destination daily.. Bagel and smoked salmon, ! Little walk the other way to get the coffee at OPEN DA NIGHT.. AT ROCCO'S. ( BUON anima) RIP 🙏. THE FIRST AND THE OLDEST ITALIAN NEIGHBORHOOD WE HAD IN MONTREAL.. ( LE PLATEAU)... THEN CAME AFTER THE AREA of little Italy By the Jean Talon Market..followed by the Saint laurent and Laval.. as the majority of the Italian till this day resides... Just Imagine been born up in the mountains of our beautiful Lebanon, Sadly was a short trip in time and All together 12 years lived... 12 years of beauty and simplicity followed with 13 years of 1st migration to Milano Italy ! And the ROSSO/NERO red/black runs deep in my vains! Those years Lived between schools and soccer games, t As they were followed by 9 long cold years .in Montreal ..ending with the Ice Storm /Verglas of 1998 in Montreal that made me decide to move for good.! this after attending an aviation school in South Shore LONGUEUIL at the St-Hubert Airport. LONG And equipped Runways to the teeth, spectacular to fly and fine training, only issue was the 4 to 6 months around the year, that was the biggest set back to graduate, but to say the least had the best Instructor's at that Era, majority were EX military Pilots/Instructor's taking pride in teaching, and passing on the torch to the new generation of pilots. As 97 matured and the final memory of the 98 remian in my heart. I had to leave AND LEAVE behind the Generous &Peacful People of Canada 🇨🇦, And follow my destiny and fulfill the dream... Not to forget that a special Room in my heart will always Cary the colors 🎨 of that Flag, 🇨🇦. ❤️. Will always be proud, of being an adopted Canadian, and despite the desperate Economy of the 90's, and many projects and investments that went south.. i will always be grateful for their hospitality. Looking back today though those bagels, with a bite after another, many memories come to play and wish I could rewind ....! For My birds grew and flew out of the nest. As I Roamed from one city to the other, one airport to another LIVING IN THE SUNSHINE STATE... THE LAND OF THE FREE IS MY HOME 🏡 and Lebanon 🇱🇧 will always be my dream of my final destination, for Lack of better terms I will call Lebanon 🇱🇧 LA CAPOLINEA.. ✈️ Peace upon you 😇 May all ur dreams come true, and may the Lebanese Proxy war ends today.
