Unfortunately, Caribbean people find it hard to recognise these prominent date's relate to slavery. Plantation owners heritage very much British.

Just to inform you. Montserratians celebrating St Patricks Day is in honor of our Ancestors, their attempt to free themselves from the Harsh Brutality of Slavery. However their plans were exposed by one of their own and as a Result many of our Ancestors were murdered, some ended their lives by jumping over clifts rather then taking Punishment from The Slave Master. This Slave Rebellion was to be carried Out while all the Oppressors would have been DRUNK celebrating St Patrick's Day. We were enslaved Brought from The Continent of Africa 🌍 know the facts before you tell us Montserratians about what and why we celebrate.
