How old are you like seriously? 2 - How insensitive are you? or maybe I could ask how sensitive are you? (I dont know, you're truly one of a kind. In the worst way possible.) I honestly imagine you saying these things to your relative's funeral, as dark as that sounds I just image this. "Oh, so dad gets to have rose at his funeral but not mom, she get's purple flowers!? I just found this video, and I thought it would be fitting to tell you all something about my life. In my country it is currently 01:51 AM at the time of writing this comment, and I have been working on my book this entire day. Only one year ago did I learn of the amazing Monty Oum through his incredible creation RWBY, and ever since he has been my inspiration. At the time I learned of him he was already dead, but looking at all the things he made, hearing about what kind of person he was... it simply amazed me. Learning how he was always trying to be so efficient, always attempting to achieve the most in life, it made me realize how I had lived until then. Lazy, aimless, and entirely without consideration for how short a life truly is. Especially with how quickly and unexpectedly it can be taken away from you... Something Monty himself is, sadly, an example of. I turned my life around completely. Now every detail of every day is structured and planned for, sleep is something that no longer get's in my way, and I always, *always*, work. I will not spend my life procrastinating, letting it slip away from me faster than I can catch it. I may occasionally use some down-time, but I no longer waste hours of my days achieving nothing. Thank you Monty, for not only making me see the light, but provide me with the relaxed attitude to receive it. Thank you dearly.

It just baffles me how insightful of an outlook on life he had. Nearly every single person I know views life as a dragging task that ends when we eventually die, but Monty was different. He viewed every single project, every single moment, as an opportunity to improve and have fun. The very work that most people complain about and beg for a break from, Monty viewed as another chance to have fun. Even on vacation, he took his work with him, because to him work wasn't dreadful. When you never hear Burnie once say "get back to work", you know he had a career ethic like no other.

I love this. When I first heard of Monty's passing a few days ago and saw the tribute video RT made and the Know report, I felt the worst that I have felt in a while and actually cried quite a bit each time I felt down. Seeing videos like these and the tribute videos now only make me smile. It makes me remember all of the great times he provided for everyone and how great of a person he was. It makes me laugh and glad to know I was able to witness his work and also realize that life has unexpected turns and it can be as amazing as it is fragile. Thank you for this video, Hembo. And thank you Mister Monty Oum. We miss you so much, and we love you.

Monty is my greatest inspiration and motivation. After watching RWBY and learning more about him, all I wanted to do was be the best at the things I do and learn to do things that fascinated me. Monty's animation and story plot for RWBY blew me away 2 years ago and it still does now. I can tell that he put a lot of thought into creating his own show. Monty must have been an amazing friend with his humor, talent, and amazing dance moves. R.I.P Monty Oum

My favorite Monty Quote he told me at a Sushi Restaurant in Austin is, "If you can match my resolve, You'll certainly succeed in what you're doing." If you think that's fake I won't it gave me the resolve to keep on working on animation and he told me he almost gave up but, he thought about making Haloid and look where he's at now, then he proceeded to Dead Fantasy then to RvB then to RWBY! His memory will live on, if we all remember his resolve. If this helped any of you who are in a tough spot just remember the best don't always win they go through a cycle of failure and successes! and remember to, "Keep Moving Forward" - Monty Oum

It's been nearly a year now... and the pain is sometimes still too close and real for me. I randomly have spent the last 2 hours looking over things about Monty and have been crying most of the time. I feel so silly for it, but it's still painful and it's still a tragedy. We continue to miss you Monty, and that will never change. But rest easy knowing that those closest to you continue with your legacy, and have not let down either the fans, or more importantly, themselves. They have clearly pushed themselves and the technology used further than season 2, and will continue to push forward in your name. We are all grateful for their continued dedication, and for your creation, inspiring and lighting the way for so many currently, and for those who have yet to come. Thank you my friend, we love you, miss you, and will see you again one day

This actually made me cry ;n; I wasn't planning to cry but I did. You did a fantastic job. Thank you so much for compiling this. Even after months, it is still hard to believe that this man---this amazing and inspirational artist of a man---is gone. It all seems so unreal. Thank you for reminding us of how amazing Monty was with this tribute video. It was fantastic and well put together. And I agree with the comments, Monty would approve of this so much. Excellent job

Watching the video and reading the comments nearly two months later, I still cry. I don't think he ever thought that when he said "The only ting that limits you, is time." that he'd be talking about himself. Dance in Peace, Monty.

This was a one of a kind person. It frustrates me how someone so hard working, so passionate, so real and so kind was taken away when things were finally going amazingly for him. He was an A-type personality cranked up to max and he deserved so much respect for what he did. I honestly think his passing was one of the saddest things I've experienced in reference to a creator since you can tell he still had so much he wanted to do and make people happy while doing it.

This was nice, as someone who started watching RWBY long after Monty died, this was cool to see what he was like. He seemed like a really cool dude and it's good to at least see what he was like and instead of seeing him as this creator who died during volume 2 or around that time. Seeing him more as a hard working, calm, and lemon punching man who was passionate for not only his own work but his fans.
