I have a theory that the Knights of Camelot actually circled around to the same castle the second time. When they first ask about the Grail the French knights say that their master already has one. The second time they come in contact with each other, they know definitively that the Grail is there but is being guarded by the French knights. They even say something to the tune of "you've come back for a second time". I truly believe that they went in a large circle and ended up back where they started on their Grail trip.

@@thomaslabat8335 There's far far far too much to say! It's truly amazing. Monty Python wrote 1200 years of French History as I know it at least. In 1 scene. If you'd like a more long winded answer as twoards why and how they managed to do so, and are genuinely curious, I highly recommend you read the Book "Sixty Million Frenchmen Can't Be Wrong" by Jean-Benoît Nadeau and Barlow. It's a fantastic read and explains French history and modern culture but it would answer all of your questions as toward why this scene explains your culture and history perfectly!

@Sc C By saying 'themselves' I'm presuming you're not British. So I say to you, go fuck yourself kind sir. Your tiny little brain evidently can't differentiate the respect we English folk are showing by calling ourselves 'British'. We're recognising that we're a shared nation with the Scots. Hence the Union Jack.
