My absolute personal favorite Monty Python movie. My eyes still water uncontrollably from laughter. I have the VHS but I still haven't found even a DVD if not a blue ray copy. I have to be sitting upright or I can't catch my breath

Blame religious censorship for that lack of distribution …. The humourless BASTARDS are still trying to oppress us and take away our Freedoms. Defund them … don’t give them a penny whilst you are alive …. nor when your dead … sucking pariah totalitarian leeches who shouldn’t be let anywhere near the reins of society control.

One of my favorite subtle jokes is when the old lady is carry the goat, the stone salesman tries to sell her a beard so she can pretend to be a man and participate in a stoning and is refused, only to see another old lady in a beard come up and completely believe it to be a man, I love their writing.

That lady is Gwen Taylor. She was in a few python things and in Ritland Weekend Television. In LOB she was also gourd lady, Mrs. Big Nose at the sermon on the mount, and doubtless a few other parts, too.

Umm… That’s not a goat the lady is carrying. That’s a donkey. It even makes the donkey braying sound.

I think the rock salesman was just in on the scheme of the women dressing in beards. Good for his business I suppose
