There is no canibalism in the modern Royal Navy. And, when I say 'no' I mean there is a certain amount. But, all new ratings are told that if they wake in the morning and find any toothmarks anywhere on their bodies, they are to tell the Captain and he'll make every effort to hush the whole thing up.

The uncomplicated name-calling interaction in Monty Python can get one in trouble as a non-native English language learner... I think "bastard" should be used all the time, for example, I see no reason against it (if there is any cause at all, that is). But I think that particular one is mostly due to Cleese.

Why oh Why are we not brave enough to produce such timeless comedy as this. Political Correctness would not allow the majority of the classic sketches, with many sensitive issues a no go area. Thank goodness i was brought up in the 1970s, when British comedy was at its best.

Well said! Me too. Howevers it is funny to study the differencies. Before the world war - Chaplin, Marx. Then this and After 1990 until now. Seinfeld. Or less sophisticated Benny Hill and Jackass. The boom of Stand up comedy. Black comedy with Chappelle, Pryor and Chris Rock. Eddie Izzard and Amy Shumer. What is modern comedy? Ricky Gervais? Ben Stiller? And Carrey coming from nowhere. Aubrey Plaza and SethRogen. For a weird nice film I'd recommend A New York love affair with the elite of stand up comedy. Funny on so many levels. And just one more glance at the olden days - Fletch with Chevy Chase... Moahaha!!! :-)

Stephan Kinder How fucking stupid are you? "For 7 years you KZbinrs have been ripping us off, taking tens of thousands of our videos and putting them on KZbin. Now the tables are turned. It's time for us to take matters into our own hands. We know who you are, we know where you live and we could come after you in ways too horrible to tell. But being the extraordinarily nice chaps we are, we've figured a better way to get our own back: We've launched our own Monty Python channel on KZbin. No more of those crap quality videos you've been posting. We're giving you the real thing - HQ videos delivered straight from our vault. What's more, we're taking our most viewed clips and uploading brand new HQ versions. And what's even more, we're letting you see absolutely everything for free. So there! But we want something in return. None of your driveling, mindless comments. Instead, we want you to click on the links, buy our movies & TV shows and soften our pain and disgust at being ripped off all these years."
