To be fair... NOBODY expects the Spanish Inqui... errr... credits to have jokes. My take is that the credits are often a surprise for reactors - especially in these modern times. Not only are we not accustomed to starting credits but then there's these weird subtitles that you can't turn off. What madness is this? Wait. What are they saying? And exactly who/what is being credited? And then seizures. Thus our scene is set and we may begin. I have to admit - its something I look forward every time I see this flick showing up in a reactor's queue. I suppose its like the birthday cake reveal only to find out that there's a slice already missing. I mean - there's still candles. The cake is still good. But there's a little slice of anticipation and joy missing for some reason that's both obvious yet hard to define. End of the day... no big deal. Glad you guys got a slice after all.

Had a fun afternoon at Doune Castle recreating scenes and finding spots where it was film. Unfortunately the East Wall is too dangerous to taunt each other. A couple of Python boys have an audio that talks about the castle's history and where scenes were shot.

You are forgiven 😃 credits at the start was common in many older films it's only Monty Python and Deadpool that I know of where the credits are significant, the post credit scenes common in Marvel films are also important, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is the 1st movie I remember where those are significant also right up to the last second of the credits, so checking to the last frame can be important, Robin Hood Men in Tight has multiple end credit scenes....some reactors miss the final one in Ironman it happens after the last credit scrolls past....

And 'The Cannonball Run' had outrageous bloopers and outtakes over that film's closing credits (which may have been the first time such a thing had been done.) I've subscribed! •••• The only other comedies I'd put in the same league as 'Holy Grail' are 'Airplane!' (1980) and 'Team America: World Police' (2004). ...I look forward to enjoying more reactions from you. :)

The statement signed by Richard M. Nixon kills me every time. Fun fact: The "Additional Music" credited to "DeWolfe" refers to a music library. Aside from the songs there's not a scrap of original music in the entire film; someone spent endless hours going through catalogues, cherry-picking and then editing clips together what (to me, anyway) has become one of the most iconic scores in film history. And most of the source material is on KZbin now!
