I swear, no bullshit, that EVERY year since I started filing taxes (which was a LOOOOOOONG time ago) I've listed my profession as "Lion Tamer" on my tax returns because of this skit.

I'm not an expert but I imagine that as long as you accurately report your income and pay your taxes, they don't care enough about what you put down as your profession to get you in trouble.
@wolfyboy6 жыл бұрын
perhaps. but if they get the right amount of tax, maybe they won't bother?

I grew up on Monty Python. My parents didn't get it. They grew up on Morecambe and Wise and World War Two. As a teenager, it was as important to me as was John Peel and Alan 'fluff' Freeman. Without Monty Python we would not have had Fawltey Towers and Michael Palin would not have travelled the World and show us how lucky we are and how we should value what we are. And that power and wealth isn't spread among we humans equitably.
@stephanginther90516 жыл бұрын
John Cleese gave a TED talk on creativity that you should check out. Its both informative and hilarious.
@infinitive76545 жыл бұрын
Mysterious Squirrel power will never be allocated equally, because the nature of power itself is inequality. it gives one something to be, strive to, and achieve. if you want everything to be equal among everyone, then you'd have communism, soviet russia, the gulag, stalin, socialism, and millions dead. we already tried that, 3 or 4 times, it DIDN'T WORK. capitalism is the best system we have, flawed though it may be. so be careful what you wish for....you just might get it.
@rowiian14 жыл бұрын
"LION TAMING!!!! 8D" I love how he says that. I think it's his expression. He looks so hopeful and proud, ready to take on the world... And then Cleese goes "yes, yes....", doesn't have the heart to tell him off at once. Love it XD

Ok, that was ten curtains and fanfares, interrupted after four by emcee, then Jones, Idle, Chapman and (onscreen) Cleese doing the sung intro, and Cleese looking at his watch all for a total of 1:09.

@AntonIceChill The DVD must be the feature film "And now for something completely different", where they remade some of their sketches from the first two seasons of their TV show, the Flying Circus, with incredible transitions :) The film was their first to be released in theaters. This obviously comes from the TV show, and the version you're referring to from the movie, so this is the original.
