The Bible verse question, Paul was advising men to to honor their wives because they are weaker in terms of physical strength. When talking of prayers not being answered is because God commands a blessing in a marriage with unity.

Yes, 💯 Also, look at it this way; women love being pampered by their spouses. They want to be treated like the "gal toto". And I think most men enjoy treating their women. This already shows we are the weaker counter part hence we need to be protected 💯

This is the most mature Podcast you guys have done so far! Two people who are taking responsibility for their feelings and maturity and not blaming the other person for their negative feelings. I used to have issues with the whole theme of "sexism" that goes on in the Bible, it took multiple teachings to help me understand that we first and foremost are equal in God's eyes but in a family setting, just like any other institution there's need of leadership, the role of leader falls to the man but it doesn't make my role as a woman any less important, the head doesn't stand on its own without the neck. There's beauty when both partners understand this and only then can you thrive as a couple

Hi Ben and wanjiru... That bible verse comes from 1 Peter 3:7 When it refers women as the "weaker vessel",my opinion is,in as much as men are said to be the head of the family and women are asked to submit to their husbands...it doesn't mean men should not value the role of the wife in the marriage...it's more on perception,how they view them and treat them... Proverbs 18:22 says,he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from God If you perceive your wife is a good thing and treat her with respect and love Then you automatically unlock the favor you've been promised by God If you do the opposite,you hinder your prayers ( you block the favor God promised you) it is as simple as that Anyway I enjoyed the episode, always a fun for day one.

Agreed. In addition, there's nothing wrong with women being weaker than men, in fact it's true that women are more delicate and vulnerable. That's not just physically but even spiritually and emotionally, whereby you find that women can easily be brainwashed or deceived because of their nature. There's a place in the Bible that says that Eve was deceived by the serpent and not Adam. So a wise woman shall accept the authority of the husband over her , and a wise man shall lead his wife with love and honour.
