I got my mention for the 8th Pennsylvania Cavalry monument. Thanks, Tim! Viewers: If you're in the area of the Pennsylvania Monument, look a little to the north and you'll see it.

another good presentation Tim! happy new year. Tim do a story about all the horses that were wounded and walking the battlefield. Didn't a call go out by newspaper to all blacksmiths to come to Gettysburg?

We absolutely love the videos that the ACHS releases. I have always been fascinated with Gettysburg history - civil war related and beyond. However, for these Q & A videos, it would be helpful if the off camera person who is reading the question was speaking directly into a microphone. It is sometimes hard to hear the actual questions. Also if that person could speak a little slower. I had to rewind and repeat a few of them once Tim began responding. A relatively minor issue but I wanted to share my opinion.

Glad they added MD! ❤ i KNOW we hardly had any troops on the battlefield, save for Culp's Hill, BUT, we served as the primary upper corridor if nothing else. Meade pursued Lee through our towns. We are the choke point of the Shenandoah. Nearby Frederick was the region's general hospital. Plus the minor importance of Union Mills (loved your video there).

I wish there was a book with nothing but photographs of the construction of the monuments. I'd like to see the methods used at that time.

How cool would it be to know the location of all Bachtelders stakes on the field
