Hi, what about crypto? Is there any information relating to crypto via using a Monzo account? I think I read somewhere that they allow coinbase payments in and out of your account? Is there any fee for this? Are they crypto friendly? Thanks

I buy through coinbase using Monzo, and have done for about 5 years 👍

@thecurlybalbini The buying part is easy, it's the selling and putting the money into your account that's difficult. Coinbase told me the only way to do it was paypal. That's in Britain.

If your cheque is less than £500 you can pay it in via the app by following these instructions - monzo.com/help/payments-getting-started/cheque-how-to-pay-web-by-app/ If your cheque is over £500, Monzo have instructions for how to deposit your cheque by post here - monzo.com/help/payments-getting-started/cheque-how-to-pay/ Hope that helps 😊

I believe there aren't any specifications for the envelope - but you either send tracked for a fee for the stamp (which Monzo recommend) or free but just putting "FREEPOST MONZO" on the envelope. As long as the envelope is secure, postage has been paid where relevant and you can read the writing, that should get to Monzo.

Terrible bank. My account has been hacked into and money stolen multiple times. Monzo did nothing but blame me. Avoid this bank.

That would literally be impossible, you can only log in from phone and you can lock the phone with a password too.

I’m not sure that’s even possible, wouldn’t you have to give someone your phone and unlock it for them? Or maybe if you was silly enough to give someone all of your ID and credentials so they could log in on a different phone?
