In my opinion it's been useful for a lot of reasons since I travel abroad atleast 3 times a year so it is helpful when I don't have cash and need to use the card. I have the metal plan and I think it's useful for many reasons but I still haven't played around with it yet like the Stock and Trade feature. Overall, after 4 months of using it I haven't had such a bad experience. I really enjoyed the vid because it really helps me refresh my mind on what I'm actually using and if I'm missing something about it

While these revolut-vids can give valuable information there is the fact that Revolut is different for a Norwegian person than it is for an English person. I bet it is further different for a person in Thailand and a person in Australia. Even the app itself sems different from what I see in the videos.

I do like it, it works. Any issues arise their customer service is absolutely useless. Had 2 lots of missing cashback. Multiple chats and waited over 6 weeks for them to sort it. Ended up chatting to Nik (the directors) secretary on linked in and was sorted in an hour.

My experience has been really great. Only their picture recognition thing is obnoxious. As a foreigner it's been incredibly helpful, life changing. However saying it's a scam? No don't say that. Hi, I was just wondering, if I were to add £1000 into the card, and then convert that into euros (this would mean I reached the converting limit of £1000), when I then go abroad and use the card for spending in person (in a shop or somewhere), will I get charged a fee? Or will it just charge what the price is to the euros? For example 35 euro is 35 euros out of the euros I now have in the card, and not 35 + fees

Hey! That's correct, you would reach the fee-free £1,000 limit and no you wouldn't get charged a fee. As the euros would be deposited in your Revolut account, when you went to spend money in euros that EXACT amount would be deposited from your Revolut EUR balance. Hope that answers your questions. Hey Amanda. No worries, honestly I enjoy speaking to people in the comments and I try to respond to everyone but I do miss the odd. With Revolut you won't pay any fees on the first £1,000 (or your currency equivalent) you spend in a foreign currency using your card. With ATM withdrawals the fee-free limit is A LOT less (£200 in the UK). Once you exceed your fee-free limit, Revolut will charge you for withdrawing money from an ATM. SO where possible I would recommend using your card. But it is always good to have a little bit of foreign cash just in case a vendor doesn't accept card payments. Just remember on the weekend you will be charged a fee, regardless of your plan. ^Jonny

Is that a Mastercard credit card? Revolut will always charge a fee for topping up with a debit or credit card, Visa or Mastercard. Best way to top-up is via bank transfer which is always free. ^Jonny

Hey Lucia, my wife and I share a Revolut Vault, it's just as you'd expect. You can both access the Vault from your own account, it is free and easy to use, you can withdraw money whenever you want AND you can an okay interest rate. I recommend it :) ^Jonny

Hey mate! No that doesn't require a paid plan, it is also very easy to do. You can set up a USD savings account in-app by clicking the Hub > Vaults > Create vault > Save and earn money. > US Dollar. All you need to do is deposit euros into your account and exchange them to JPY, you can do this all in app and it is very easy. Just make sure to exchange during the week, AND enough to cover your weekend spending. Did you upgrade to premium for the 3 month trial? ^Jonny

Yeah, of course you can. You would be best to get Revolut Premium or at least one of their plans that has fee-free currency exchange. Hey Mark, it isn't really necessary unless you want to get a specific exchange rate ahead of time. You can just have GBP in the account and spend as you please. Just make sure when you do transact that you choose to pay in the local currency. Cheers! ^Jonny

Sorry Mark I should have mentioned that on the weekend you would be charged a small fee for transacting in a foreign currency, regardless of your plan or fee-free allotment. Perhaps on a Friday while you're in Europe, you could exchange some sterling to euros just to make sure you're fully covered. ^Jonny

About that currency exchange, I'm from Croatia, using standard plan, our currency is Euro, and if I come let's say in the UK and I pay something over the weekend will they charge me a fee if I spend over 1000 euros? And if they do, do I have to have some ammount of GBP for the transaction, or they will just charge me that fee in euros. Don't understand why complicate things IF it is like that.

It isn't as complicated as you may think. Simply, if you make a purchase on the weekend in a currency that you don't have in your account then you would be charged a fee. Yes, you would need enough money to cover the fee and the transaction, the fee is very small though - roughly 0.5-1%. ^Jonny

I've been using Revolut for my spending money for a few years now. I have the "entry level" card (pink and blue) which I like as it stands out from my Nationwide cards (multiple shades of blue). I made a tidy profit from fee-free currency exchange in Sep 2022 (thanks to Liz Truss!). Any surplus on the month goes into a vault for next month. I find the minimum transfer amount of £10 irritating, but that aside it works very well for me.

I transfer my shopping budget across for convenience, also the virtual card feature for buying thing in places I do not trust is massive, I do have a question though if you would be so kind, cryptocurrency and it’s fees, I can’t seem to find what they are and wether or not they will charge me to transfer out to cold storage wallet, great video, production value is fantastic and you have a sultry calming voice so even though you were enthusiastic about some of the upsides of Revolut it didn’t doesn’t come across as off putting, much appreciated 🙏🏻

I enrolled under your premium card offer of 3 months free but only received 1 free month. I then messaged customer service and they advised me that somehow the promo didn't get applied correctly and they would have to manually issue the credit, which they did for my 2nd Month. They stated that I would have to message them again to request credit for my 3rd month but the rep stated they had placed a note on my account for future reference so that I shouldn't have to explain my story and history again. I like that the customer service team is instantly accessible with a Premium account. I mainly signed up for the ability to have an ATM card to use in a foreign country to get cash without having to pay exorbitant fees for using a foreign ATM. My standard ATM card would charge $5 USD per withdrawal plus 3% Foreign Transaction Fee on top for any withdrawal made at a foreign ATM. Thanks for all of your help and the great referral offer you're able to provide!!
