I have loved him and the Moodies since I was a very young girl. He inspired me to sing, which I did for years. So glad he’s still at it. A rare gem of a musician . Thank you for this 🙏🏻 can’t wait to hear more of this story 🙌🥰

I really like Justin Hayward. ☺️ His voice is so nice. I saw The Moody Blues in concert 33 times, and Justin Hayward (solo) 4 times. He told that story at one of his shows.

Several years ago, I in a elevator and it stopped on a floor, the doors opened and it was Justin Hayward. Justin stared at me for a few seconds and then entered the elevator and moved to the back corner of the elevator, his body language seemed to say, please don't recognize me. I didn't say a thing, until he got off and he had to walk past me, so I simply said, have a great day and he said thank you. Me thinks Justin is playing down his celebrity and his reaction to possible fans. I also witnessed Justin, trying to avoid fans at the Ceasars Palace shopping area, the friend I was with, poked me and pointed him out to me, he was walking so very fast, weaving in and out between shoppers and then disappeared into the Armani shop.

Very cool, John! You’re doing good stuff, man! Justin Hayward is one of my very favorite.. such an underappreciated, brilliant songwriter, and artist.. he’s written songs for our lifetime.. and sings them just as well.. greetings from Lisbon Portugal!

Justin is so modest, been a huge Moodies fan for years, probably saw the 10 times from 1970-2006 or so.I have all the albums including all the solo stuff on record. One of my all time favorite albums is The Blue Jays , Hayward and John Lodge....so humble is Justin.

Started buying Moody Blues album summer of 1969, leading me on a spiritual sojourn from, Days of Future Past to the Seventh sojourn album, each album teaching the hearer how we humans should love are neighbors as we went to be loved. Love family, love friends, and love God. These 7 albums were God created in the hands of Justin Hayward and the Moody's. The 3 men I am clad I know, Jesus his love. Alexander the Great in books, Justin Hayward in words and music. Thank you, Justin & Moody Blues. The BEST that has happened in music 🎶

I have seen Justin Hayward 4 times in the past 10 years, twice with Mike Dawes and Julie Regan and twice with the Moody Blues!!!! Never will get old hearing Justin sing and play Nights in White Satin 💯❤️ Such an English gentleman ☮️😎 I think my wife finally gets what I’d seen and heard with Justin’s songs, magical bliss❤️❤️🤯

Justin Hayward is my all time favorite songwriter. I write songs and often am told they can hear the Moody Blues influence in them which is the greatest compliment someone can give. Hayward of course has other talents, a voice to die for and phenomenal guitar playing. His lead guitar licks are epic and instantly recognizable in tone and style. That he's still performing at the level he is is really wonderful. If you get a chance ask him about his solo album View From the Hill, an amazing masterpiece. I have tried to purchase it for some UK friends and there is some issue where it is not available to them. It would be interesting to find out why. His song from that album Broken Dream is unbelievable if you get a chance to listen to it.

It's always awkward when i run into a famous person that i admire. It's happened numerous times over the years and i'm inevitably lost for what to say. I'm sure they've heard it a million times; "I'm a huge fan", "I'm a musician myself", and the dreaded, "Can i have your autograph?". A lot of times i just pass with a nod or a "How's it going?". Then if they choose to continue with a conversation, we talk. I met Jack Bruce once and i was absolutely gobsmacked. I had no idea what to say...i just stood there while those around me told him how great he was and what an inspiration he was to them. I had nothing else to add to that, so i said nothing.

I was a juror in a big corporate lawsuit in '93. The Moodies had a legal hassle with their old bandmate Pat Moraz in the courtroom next door. I would have been too shy to approach them if it wasn't for the fact that my HS yearbook once had *Seventh Sojourn* as its theme (I was on staff & we needed permission from the band to quote its songs). I did chat with Justin for a few minutes over the course of a week or so. We discussed the latest record stars which at that time were Annie Lennox and XTC.

He really does believe he isn't a 'celebrity' and he's right really in the context of what a modern day celeb actually means, and represents. To me, it represents a person who wants to be famous by any means, and in a lot of cases, without a particular discernable talent/ability in the arts! so yes, Justin is not a modern day celeb, a d I think he's happy not to be. He's far to classy, humble and intelligent for that 'Malarky'

Saw Justin and his troupe in Toronto may 28th. Amazing , show, of course I'm a big fan but volume just right no bum notes etc. His voice was great, and the 4 piece bands take on some acoutically complex songs was refreshing and innovative. Multiple standing ovations. Applause after last song was such that Justin stayed on stage for 2 minutes waving and bowing , the guy besude said " He doesnt want to leave! Mike Dawes warmup was great too, a new appreciation for his talent for sure.

I ran into him on the first Moody Blues cruise. My daughter and I were the only customers in the sushi cafe when Justin and Norda (flautist) came in. Security locked both entrances. We stayed inside for quite sometime and then left and waited outside one of the entrances in hopes of getting a photo with him. Of course they exited from the other entrance. My daughter and I literally had to run to catch up with them and finally did at the elevator. He was very nice and accommodating. Allowed us to take several photos with him. I was short of breath from all the running and my hair was a fright but the photos turned out ok. I will cherish them forever😊

OK, this is really a great interview and just for the record. I’ve seen Justin in Lake Tahoe in the 1990s at the time out Gym , Speech when he was performing at Caesars, but I’d go to the timeout gym because I used to go up the Tahoe all the time my point is that I never bothered him. I never went up and spoke to him. I allowed him to have his privacy at all times when he was on stage it was different now recently last year in Miami flying back up to Fort Lauderdale right after the cruise, he and his wife Marie were sitting two rows ahead of me in first class on American Airlines on the left side of the jet and I was on the right side and I was talking to the passenger next to me and then I when I actually boarded they were already in their seats and I looked and I thought oh and the on the jet. I didn’t recognize him and I sat down talking so well it’s a very short flight but about 30 minutes in I looked over and I said that looks like Justin Hayward and then I looked. I said that looks like Marie but again I did not bother them and when we got off the jet, he was standing right there in the jetway just kind of looking, Uzzle or something and I looked at him, had my son and walked on cause I wasn’t about to discussion with him and then getting our baggage was there and then I saw Julie and Karmen arrived to get luggage. I walked up to Julie and Carmen and spoke to Julie for just a moment, but never tried to speak to Marie or I didn’t even see Justin at that point he probably was in the van outside waiting so he’s got a point, but I do recognize him.
