There are still a lot of people who consider Wings as nothing more than a Paul McCartney vehicle, and they may be right, but Denny was the one guy who you could use to put up an argument that Wings was more than that. He contributed some pretty good songs like "Time to Hide", and was the one guy not named McCartney who stayed in the band during its entire run. Denny wasn't around the Moodies long enough to reap their successes, but he was a pretty capable frontman for them during his time there. I'm glad he got recognized.

Funny that the Rock Hall included Denny Laine from the original lineup of the hit "Go Now," and not Clint Warwick. I know he and Denny didn't stay very long, and it's been 20 years since he passed, but snubbing Warwick is just another black mark on the record of the Rock Hall.

Such a tragedy that it took so, SO long for the Moody Blues to finally be nominated, then inducted into the RRHoF. I would have loved to have seen flautist Ray Thomas (who passed away only 3 months prior to this event) on that stage, and to hear his whimsical words of wisdom that night. This band had been so deserving for this moment for so, SO long.

Nights in White Satin and Tuesday afternoon are two of the most beautiful songs in Rock history. The vocals by Justin are epic. I am 71 years old and have seen their live performances over a span of decades 12 times. It would send chills up my spine when they did Nights in White Satin. One of the few bands that sounded like their recordings.

He did know about the Band being inducted at least, that's a good thing. Wondered why only Mike did not speak, apparently he may have dementia, a shame if it's true. Don't believe all these comments saying other Band members did'nt allow him to speak, that's B.S. Apparently he chose not to. Also , interesting how Patrick Moraz was left out , after 11 years in the Band, obviously because of the bitter Court case when he sued the Moodies , and lost. Good call to leave him out and Denny gets in after about 2 years in the Band. Moraz must have been pissed off with that.

One of the first to seamlessly blend the mellotron into their music; the first rock band to incorporate poetic recitations into the songs; and with "Days of Future Past", one of if not the first to record a true concept album, complete with orchestration. Maybe John carrying out a request from Mike's family.....they may have said to the other 4 something like : 'Mike has prepared something to say, but when the time comes and if he doesn't seem quite up to it mentally, then gently shepherd him from speaking'. Hence the confusion, and, if so, hats off to John for taking a brave action, just because he happened to be in the nearest position to do it . There's no way the likes of John or Justin would have prevented Mike speaking out of pettiness.

I don't think any artist, any band, knows how grateful we all are for the countless moments of deep emotions, of joy, that they give us every time we listen to their music and see them perform it.

About TIME! Finally the RRHOF woke UP! The Moody Blues are one of the best bands in the world, their music is gorgeous and their lyrics so thought provoking, not that "rap" crap!!! How anyone can even compere is beyond me! I voted for them over and over again and as far as I am concerned they should have been in there 25 years ago!!! But at long last they are and poor Ray, passed before this big day...he is outside now, looking in. Congrats Moodies!!!

Nice that they got in but the R&R Hall of fame is a sham. Too many inductees that had nothing to do with rock. That said I have loved the Moodies since 1966 when they were a blues band. Have seen them over 30 times beginning with MSG concert in 1969. They are still my favorite band. R.I.P. Ray...

On a Threshold of a Dream...An album played by my mom early 70s and my favorite all my life. I have purchased on tape, CD a couple of times and now enjoy on KZbin today. I can't explain how they make me feel and if I ever had the pleasure of meeting Justin, I know I would have fallen in love with him immediately. He is a beautiful fantasy and when he sings it's over the top. Amazing...they bring tears to my eyes. So much love and respect. Award long overdue.

In the 60's when Days of Future Passed came out I use their music for short films I made as a kid. Then after each new album came out I bought them. Their music is totally unique. I heard Stern lobbying on his show many times for them to be inducted, and it worked, to my amazement. Thank you Howard. I have no clue what took this band so long to be here. Thank you Moody Blues for all your great music that I got to include in my world.

After the Beatles and Beach Boys, the best band ever. They should have gotten in in 1992 but it was a thrill to see them finally get inducted. Justin Hayward and John Lodge are such a talented songwriting, singing, musical duo, Graeme Edge a fantastic drummer, and Mike Pinder, while he doesn't say a word here, his pioneering of the mellotron, his skills as a composer and vocalist are amazing.
