I've been drooling over catamarans for a couple of years now, but this boat is so revolutionary in its layout, I've fallen back in love with monohulls head over heels! this tour was a little hasty though... I prefer the aft cabin as a double bed - I'd have a couple, both experienced sailors, one doubling up as cook. and I'd still have two double rooms for guests...on a 54ft monohull - crazy!

What interests me is how to register a sailboat without an address. I mean, if you've been at sea for a year and you've got an address, you still have to pay for the apartment and then there are taxes and other things. Again, you no longer have an address (at the municipality of residence and you are deregistered from the state) can you not register a vehicle? Greeting

Only dead people don’t pay tax. for the boat you will pay considerable tax as it a property and more tax on services and parts. If it’s in CA like my self you will pay lots of money.

@@fa7842 Hi, CA= California, US. Living aboard you will sooner or later stop in a marina or a pier for supply then you will pay some bills with tax included lots of it if you are in a remote place. If you are not working, you are consuming your savings day bye day. Boat can be cheaper then shop all week long on big city’s but boating on the other end will never be free you will need lots of supply to leave off grid even if you only eat fish and drink fresh water from the rain
