Thank you for you review, Kai! Great and informative for who’s trying to figure out how these units sound.

i have one question with this. if i plug my mooer ge150 pro to my desktop speaker it sounds good and clean. but when i plug it in to my amp (VOX AD50VT-XL) it sounds bad. any suggestions and tips for me? i hope you guys can help me. 😢

If you’re running into a real amp, you’ll want to disable the amp block and the cabinet block. If the amp is distorted, running reverbs/delays into the front end of it will muddy them up. With modellers, you’ll typically want to use an FRFR speaker to monitor yourself, rather than an amp

Brother because the multi effects it self has a pre amp and cab sim when u plug it on the amp directly it will really sound bad because the amp has its cab and amp so you need to plug it on the footswitch or return jack on your amp if your amps doesnt have one you have no choice but to turn off the pre amp and cam sim on your multi effects

I use zoom g5n and if I go with this mooer ge 150 will it be better one?
@ILLRICARDO12 күн бұрын
The zoom has a fuller sound, you might want to get zoom g6 or g2 four. You can get some really good presents for the g5 on choptones

Is this unit made of plastic ?

If you have an amp and 2x12" cab and want to use mainly only effects and delay and reverb, so not any speaker or amp emulations, how good are those effects, especially stereo effects, compared to for example Boss GX-10?

Hello Kai, do you think the clean sounds match up to the S1? or are the the same sounds
@KaiDown2 ай бұрын
As far as I'm aware, both units would sound the same

Hello Kai, is there any latency when changing patches or engaging effects on and off?
@KaiDown2 ай бұрын
I did test that out quickly in the clip jumping between the first few stock presets - I’d say it’s not noticeable . As far as I can tell, there’s no way to engage/disengage effects “live” on a patch, as you can’t assign them to footswitches
@TheTwister22Ай бұрын
@@KaiDownwait then why 4 on this over the last one that had 2? What’s it bring to the field if you can’t do that?
@Stefan-Ай бұрын
@@TheTwister22 You can instantly select four different patches by pressing the corresponding footswitch, that you cant do with two footswitches. That said it seems to be on the simpler side, but i was surpriced that it could do cab sim on one of the outputs and have no cab sim on the other, many more expensive units cant do that. They could definately improve on the control functions with more customizations, they are often supricingly limited even in more expensive units and very important for live use.

@@Stefan- Hi, can you tell me if there is any lag/latency when switching between presets? Thank you!
@Stefan-28 күн бұрын
@@CureEclipse11 I dont own one myself but he tested it in the video at 4:07 and it seems minimal latency switching so that doesnt seem to be a problem, didnt you watch the video ?

I'm looking at this modeler with a spark cab. Right now I have a line 6 spider V 120, is it a worthy upgrade? (Also is a spark cab or a headrush frfr108 better)

This thing simply doesn't sound good. Muffy and plastic. No organic sound. Tonex One is the cheapest solution for good sounding modeler pedal.
@KaiDown2 ай бұрын
ToneX one sounds fantastic, but it’s up there for the hardest modeller to use. I ended up sending mine back, I didn’t enjoy the workflow at all. Live desktop editor would solve a lot of issues though
@Stefan-Ай бұрын
Tonex one is really limited for live use with just two footswitch selectable patches also which i think is a big point of getting something like this, if one is just playing at home or using a pedalboard then its a different story and the Tonex one will be more interesting, i have been considering it as a backup but even though im not one to use many different patches i have found it to be a bit to limiting, three or four footswitches like this is more something that i can live with in worst case. Profiling while have the possibility to sound great also have its perticular drawbacks especially the search for a good profile that works for you and i didnt like or could find a good sound in the free trial of Tonex early on.
