Great video, but someone needs to do one of these Metal tests with say a standard SM57 and at least 1 room mic. You really don't get a lot of information on sound when it's through Reaper or logic or another D.A.W. using IR's just don't give a realistic in room tone. That's just my 2 cents.

Sick. Just picked one up on ebay pretty cheap. I've seen some poor reviews but I'm a bass player who needs a small, basic ampless guitar rig. I was thinking about the mooer preamp thingies or the mooer radar with a distortion and a screamer. Those are cool, but I got this for the same price as one of the little amp sims. The tones sound decent enough to me, but I'm wondering has anyone dialled a high gain amp sim and put a real overdrive infront of it?

Yes but very pleasant to my ears. In the ge 250/300/preamp live the sounds are reaaaalllly good. Especially with the tone captures, which are similar to a kemper profile. If i wouldn't use neural dsp plugins would be the way to go for me.

I think this nuance is useful, especially if you use this unit live or rehearsal straight into PA system without combo or guitar amp. Now i use it this way and it sounds real nice.

Yeah there has to be a buffer or something that causes it because, after I got mine, I noticed that every amp model had it. So they all sound more similar than I feel like they should but, even with that said they are are very usable. They sit well in the mix in that register, and it really sings and cuts when you need it to because of that as well.

@@JosePineda-jn8jk It is a bit annoying. With the Seymour Duncan JB sounds a bit like there's a slight wah engaged. It's also a bit questionable if they really captured all of these amps. The Mesa's sound pretty bad. JCM900 and Fireball for me.

GE150 for me, i spend far less time to create good tone then on hd500x, and size of mooer is way more usable. Of course hd500x has more features on every preset, but i just need two or three tones for my live setup.

Extract them to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mooer Audio Corp\Mooer Studio For GE150\MOOER_GE150\presetfile. Then open GE150 Software and they will appear on the "Computer" - side. Just drag them over to "Preset" - side. You will also have to import the provided Ownhammer IRs, manually in the "Cab" - section.

have owned this thing for like 3 months, even with 3rd party IR.....this thing is a super noisy, mediocre sounding toy! even trying this guys presets! And playing with a Jackson SLAT3-7, do not recommend at all! Save up for something vastly superior!

I use this unit for live situation. And its totally fine, maybe u tweek it wrong. And also i never use gain more than 12 oclock to have the clarity
