I understand a new update should be released soon. It’s been pushed out a few times already. Unfortunately the whole Moog One design team jumped ship a couple of years ago.

@GetsemaniMusic Thank you for this video series what a huge help! Also - Do you happen to know of a way to remove a group of presets at once on Moog One? I loaded a bunch of presets that I now regret being on there, it was a preset pack I purchased a while back.

There is no way I know of to delete multiple presets at once, but there are a few ways to make it easier. If the offending set has a group name, filter by the group (press HOME and then turn the 4th knob under the screen) and then repeatedly press Delete and Confirm (the 4th button above the screen.) Alternatively, create a new factory User Space (which you should do every time you upgrade the firmware anyway) and only Import the presets you like.

Thanks Brian I'm running the calibration on my One finally. Updated to 1.5 as well. Curious though, my One shows 18/18 .. not 17/17 wonder why that would be? Anyway, thanks for the tutorial, it was super helpful thanks!

Thanks Marshal. The video was made awhile ago using version 1.4. 1.4 had 17 steps. 1.5 has 18.

I understood that this would be user facing in v 1.5 but I can’t see it in the menu. Is it still only supposed to be done with Moog’s permission? I only just got mine so I don’t want to void the warranty but would love to make sure it’s as tight as possible.

It was made public in the release notes for 1.5. You still need to do the 3 button combo to access it. Highly suggest you create a new factory user space before running it to avoid any hang up in step 6.

Unfortunately this calibration doesn't actually fix the tuning issues on the low-end of the keyboard (most noticeable when you set oscillators an octave apart). This seems to be a hardware issue related to card temp relative to placement in the case and so I suspect this is an issue on ALL Moog One's but I would love to hear that it isn't.

Most of the feedback we’ve seen indicate the tuning issues were fixed with firmware update 1.5 and this update.

@@GetsemaniMusic Conversely I've seen comments indicating no change on the low-end tuning issue after the update + calibration, plus I myself had no improvements after running the calibration routine on its own (this was before 1.5 OS was released). So I think "some" general tuning issues were resolved, but the low-end one was not.. at least not on a lot of machines.

Did it actually improve tuning in lower registers?

I believe it did. We just made another video comparing tuning on four synths, including the Moog One, and they all were off my no more than six cents over six octaves, which for 99% of the population would be unnoticeable in any composition.
