Wow this match was incredible. Who is Micah Goss??? He's my new favorite player, god I love bouncy middles, he looks unbelievable. Did he have 5 blocks in the first set? WTH. That's the best I've ever seen Flexen too, absolute unit. Really cool seeing Keoni not only play more but be THE GUY for a really good team. Top 5 teams are all sick this year, should be really interesting!
@CheemengeRa22 сағат бұрын
Both teams played really well! Seems like they both could beat each other. The NCAA tournament will be crazy this year.

Im so happy Flexen (UCI #9) is finally playing. hes one of the most fun hitters to watch imo
@Jamojjamo19 сағат бұрын
looks like they put him in oppo role which makes sense, last year the other teams were making flex serve receive.
@global539918 сағат бұрын
@@Jamojjamo yeah i think oppo suits him a lot better. If i remember correctly, Kniffin did put Flexen in as an opposite during the semis against UCLA but he wasn't as good as d'arcy back then. i was kinda hoping that Flexen would train his passing so he could be an outside since d'arcy was a solid opposite hitter so they could run a good offense from anywhere at any position, but i guess henno is just THAT good that they can just prioritize defense for now like they did with tangutur last year.
@Jamojjamo18 сағат бұрын
@@global5399 yes it’s easier to transition a full offseason as oppo to primarily hit and block, than fixing your pass technique at this high level. (harder to change bad habits at his stage). I think the biggest issue was Uci mb and passing but it seems a lot better this year. The current setter look solid on defense.

Incredible match, UCI could be a problem with that new middle and if Flexen always plays like that. Their setter is really impressive too. Love seeing Thiim (spelling) be the focal point of an offense at his height it’s incredible.

Idk if he’s impressive but a quality back up. Maybe it’s his setting style but their game didn’t seem smooth and in rhythm if you know what I mean. Reminds me of knipe from long beach last few years lol

Don't understand UCI playing #14 when they have so many better players. Practically cost them the ucla game last season. He costs them so many points per set, get him off the court!
@tomlewis401616 сағат бұрын
Kiriakou (14 not sure how to spell his name) had to come cold off the bench with no plans of playing in the national championship match, I would imagine that’s a tough task to accomplish. His ball control relative to flexen or d’arcy is stronger, and he can pass and play defense at least satisfactorily. He’s not there for firepower, I see him as someone on the floor for stability.

Anyone know why keonii transferred from hawaii?
@iaazzzz6942018 сағат бұрын
p sure cause he wanted playing time - if he stayed on hawaii he wouldve been on the bench this year

he said that imagine spending all the time putting in effort to working out, increasing his vert, polishing his skills to only come in and serve the ball. Yea he played a couple times during hawaii games but he was mainly the serving specialist and he wanted more playing time so he transferred
