more gorgeous music from this maestro.... go to the most remote island you can find, look up at the stars and realize.... perhaps you'll hear the inspiration for this song

This album is one of my "desert island discs," and I've never been to one of George's shows (although I've wanted to go to one for over 30 years, so thank you very much for sharing this!

OMG Mika! Congratulations. I have been onstage with George filming these videos, and I swear, if you closed your eyes...you have a great musical future ahead of you. Keep it up. Being able to play is a gift from the universe and is chicken soup for the soul for the rest of your life. George must be super proud! Great job. Randy Lutge P.S. Check out Liz Story.

brian and mika, i haven't talked to george for years. we were friends in these days, because we worked together a lot. he was and is a wonderful, generous, warm-hearted guy, who would love yo know that mika has learned "moon." welcome to the new varsity channel. randy

Hi Randy. How am I playing Moon now? George asked my dad why I missed part of the song. So he had me do it over again. I haven't played much this last 5 months because I had back surgery. I'm ok now. Did you know that George just finished with a bone marrow transplant?

George Winston's music is a gift to the world.... That being said.. Does anyone else think his fingering technique and wrist technique is causing unnecessary strain? So that if you copy his technique it would be straining and cause tension... The left hand needs more cross overs and the wrist needs to rock.. and he needs to relax... Anyone else think this?

I would not question his mastery. It clearly works for him. A legit concern for most players.
