a cool thing that i noticed from the first episode is that when the jackal is chasing steven in the museum it climbs on the ceiling and avoids all the artifacts. they basically set up that the security cameras weren't going to pick up anything else but steven running around from the first episode. just so good.

I'm not sure if any picked up on it but I think when Steven threw off his Mr. Knight jacket is when he lost the scarab meaning he still managed to muck it up even when he was doing good.

I'm not sure if this was done deliberately or not, but the example Harrow gives of amputating a diseased limb to prevent infection spreading, is hypocritical. He worships Ammit, and believes in the idea that the guilty should be judged and punished BEFORE committing their crime, but a diseased limb is not a problem UNTIL it becomes diseased, before that point it requires no correcting, it is only AFTER the disease presents itself that removing it becomes a viable course of action, meaning that argument falls in line with Khonshu, not Ammit. Just an interesting choice of phrase.

Khonshu is a jerk but I prefer his brand of justice. Punishing someone for something they've done is better than judging and killing someone for something they'll possibly do in the future. Marc was never a bad person, he's just a troubled soul and when he was in the verge of death Khonshu saved him. At a cost of his body and soul. I'm rooting for Steven, Marc and Khonshu, I like them, flaws and all. Loved your reaction.

Actually I kinda like the idea of Khonshu while being a jerk that he is less so compared to all the other gods or at least most of them. I know we have Bast (who is inspired by Bastet) that is connected to Wakanda so I don't how they will be portrayed but it's just kinda interesting think about having him be easier to deal with then the other gods. Either way it seems Ammit is definitely an issue. What's interesting is she isn't considered part of the Ennead of 9 Gods, not by mythology or marvel comics. She does have a specific role but Anubis is actually the one to carry out judgement in the mythology while Ammit devours the hearts. And Jackals would be normally associated with Anubis so what she up to? It's all rather interesting.

Yeah, the part where Harrow goes too far is how he goes straight to killing people. No trying to figure out what might cause that person to commit "evil", no trying to talk them out of it, just "you're gonna be evil, so I have to kill you". (Not to mention that Ammit - assuming that it really is Ammit and not Harrow interpreting his will as Ammit - might have very different ideas of what constitutes "evil" than modern day society.) Personally, I wonder if the story ends up revealing that Harrow isn't doing Ammit's will, and that he's basically like Vorbis from the Discworld book Small Gods - thinking that his actions are enforcing his god's will, but in reality, interpreting his own beliefs and goals as said god's will. (It'd make for an interesting foil to Marc/Steven/Moon Knight if that was the case.)

7:42 I think so and it's an interesting nod to the comics where his alters started as simple alias & covers to get where he wanted and the information he wanted and with time (and Khonshu's "help") they developed as full blown separated personalities to the point where sometimes he wasn't sure who was the real him anymore. Although I think I prefer his backstory in his more recent comics where he has DID from a young age, independent of Khonshu. Although Khonshu clearly didn't help make it better.

Not only did they not go to Egypt to shoot the last scene, they didn't go to London for any of the scenes set there. I doubt it's green screen, it's probably virtual sets with those LED walls they used in the Mandalorian and other productions.

Moon Knight`s Truncheon is multi-purpose weapon used for several reasons. It can be used as a Bo-Staff, a grappling hook, a baton and a cane. It is similar to Daredevil`s Billy Club`s. This ingenious device functions as a simple club, nunchaku, and a grappling hook. By itself, it can be wielded as a blunt instrument or thrown. It separates into two shorter clubs (linked by a chain) to entangle a weapon or limb, or to lengthen the club's arc of travel and thus its force. The hook springs forth from one end and, with a cable attached, allows Moon Knight to climb to, descend from, or swing around a fixed point. It weighs 12 pounds (5.5 kg) and is 12 inches (30 cm) long. When not in use, it fits into a holster on his left calf. Later improvements include upgrading the stainless steel to Adamantium, incorporating the cable with the hook, and adding the option to extend to 8 feet (242 cm) long.

I think they change names in tv shows just to keep comic readers from getting reveals like that, like Michelle being revealed as the MCU MJ although I think there will be an actual Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man's life, possibly as Black Cat... can't believe they still haven't used BC in a Spidey movie yet, she's to him what Catwoman is to Batman. Catwoman's been played by multiple actresses and even had her own movie.

She would have the same father or stepfather as Mary Jane, but if Mary Jane existed in this world, we would have met her. While this show is cool as fuck & I'm enjoying it a lot, I don't know how many more versions of the MCU trolley problem I can take. I would say about half the movies & shows contain some version of "is it ok to do something objectively horrible if it's for an objectively good reason ?" Hell, the plot of Eternals is literally just the trolley problem on a galactic scale !! From Loki trying to bring peace through subjugation in Avengers, Hydra's INSIGHT plot in Winter Soldier, Tony's pre-emptive warfare in Age of Ultron and right through the entire Infinity Saga, Marvel have posed us very similar moral dilemmas time & time again.

Mr. Knight is a 4th personality, Steven with Khonshu's power. He's sorta, kinda like Bruce Banner's alter ego Mr. Fixit but without all the pent up anger.

I think it's bad writing when you could ask any of the British actor's or grab anyone off the street in London to check if the use of language is correct.

It certainly was stupid, but I guess you could argue she just wanted to save Steven/Marc and that was her only leverage, or she thought it would be safer in his hands because of his power. Either way, it's just a way to bring her back into the fold and stir things up.

I love Óscar Isaac and the cinematography is great ... but I'm not feeling it. CGI seems kind of off ... like they the CGI studio didn't get enough time to finish their work. The fight against the invisible monster felt a lot like a sketch from "The mask" too. The story isn't really pulling me in either. I think I'm gonna skip this one.
