Eyyy, we've got Mr. Knight in the house! I like how they made him a sorta Steven's version of Khonshu's armour. In the comics, Mr. Knight is not necessarily a separate identity from all the others, it's just a... people-friendly version of Moon Knight. Moon Knight is all about intimidation and violence to solve problems, while Mr. Knight is more insightful, understanding, more like a detective (self-described "concerned citizen"). Also, the portrayal of Khonshu's here is spot-on, just like in the comics. Manipulative, selfish, child-like, thinking he knows better. I love all of it.

@@sayantanguha707 Come to think of it they do have him notice a lot and be particularly concerned with other's feelings as a lot of his time on screen. Like it also just makes sense but if it was to line him up for that future dynamic it'd work very well. He noticed the Ennead (setting up the 2 exiled gods even though neither were part of the Ennead), he noticed the goldfish, he noticed the scuff marks, he noticed the Jackal sound (cool fact egyptian Jackals were actually dogs, they just are a breed that looks like jackals), he was interrogative of the morally bad areas of Ammit's cult, he reads obsessively, he's methodical in his routines. Lots of stuff there.

God Oscar Issac so freaking amazing in this show. This is some of the best acting in the entire MCU. Even through the very slight changes in his facial expressions and body language you can tell the very clear difference between Marc and Steven. Also I feel so freaking bad for Steven, he really just wants to live a normal life without all this supernatural stuff, be a tour guide for a museum, meet a nice girl and settle down with her. And everyone thinks Peter Parker has the worst work/life balance in Marvel.

I doubt Marc will use it, but instead Steven will use it as to help others like a detective. Marc is more of a lone wolf and will just use Moon Knight. They're both opposites each other and in that way we can tell who is in control. And i doubt will get the taxi driver. They're will be just 2 personas.

The debut of Mr. Knight was amazing in this episode. Another great episode. The back and forth between Steven Grant and Marc Spector was my favorite part of this episode. Khonshu looks terrific in this series. Arthur Harrow is a great villain. I love the visuals in this show. Arthur Harrow being a former avatar of Khonshu, was an excellent twist. Arthur Harrow roasting Khonshu was cool-blooded. I'm also enjoying this show. I loved the interaction between Steven Grant and Arthur Harrow in this episode. Khonshu has no chill. Another thing I loved about this episode was Layla and her interaction with Steven Grant was funny to watch.

I like how strong the moral code of Steven is, which make me think that Steven is a idealize version of Marc. When Steven learned what Marc does, he didn't want him to be out again but just out of necessity when the situation was above him and knew that other would get hurt if he didn't let Marc out.

i had no clue who moon knight was before this series but he is by far the most interesting character in the mcu to date. i researched him and what i read blew my mind *spoiler alert*, apparently Steven Grant the giftshop guy is not actually real!! he is an out of control personality of marc spector. Marc spector uses his multiple personality disorder to his advantage and makes up personalities to inflitrate society for his missions

Marc couldn't go through with killing the archaeologists in Cairo that he was hired to as a mercenary. So he was killed. On his deathbed, he made a deal with an urn that was a ceremonial artifact connected to khonshu to save his life and he possessed him making him his avatar and turning him into moon knight, like the comics.

I know absolutely nothing about Moon Knight, so this might already be obvious: but it definitely looks like Steven is a rather recent alter. Probably brought on by Marc and the problems with his wife. In fact it looks like the Steven alter was based on the wife, given the love for poetry that’s the same as hers, etc. Maybe he was brought about because Marc wanted to be someone his wife could love.

Marc Spector is his real identity before he died and serve Konshu. The son of a rabbi, Marc Spector served as a Marine and briefly as a CIA operative before becoming a mercenary alongside his friend Jean-Paul "Frenchie" DuChamp. During a job in Sudan, Spector is appalled when fellow ruthless mercenary Raoul Bushman attacks and kills archeologist Dr. Alraune in front of the man's daughter and colleague, Marlene Alraune. Spector dies, then suddenly revives, fully healed. He claims Khonshu wants him to be the "moon's knight", the left "Fist of Khonshu", redeeming his life of violence by now protecting and avenging the innocent.

I'm pretty sure that 'Steven' has only existed since Marc left Layla. Marc clearly had a real life in the United States with a passport and a wife who knew about his powers which means Marc is the original personality. Since Marc tried so hard to keep Steven from being involved in anything and promised Steven that he'd never have to deal with Marc again if he let Marc complete his last mission, I believe that Steven was created by Marc's feelings of guilt and that he intended to essentially 'commit suicide' by letting Steven take over permanently and letting his Marc personality fade away.

Got to love how the show is very clearly showing how each personality is mentally distressed. Steven is just trying to get by day to day but doesn't understand what's going on and feels out of control. Marc on the other hand knows exactly what is going on is frustrated with everything he has to deal with mentally and also feels out of control It would have been so easy for the show to make it so that one personality was completely fine and the other was the one with problems, but nope. They're both troubled but in different ways

Except he didn't get the condition until he was an adult his DID wasn't caused by childhood traumas but a coping mechanism with his life working as a slave like representative for Khonshu on earth and really took a toll on his mental health creating the 4 personalities to help Marc with his work as a vigilante. That's what i mean when i said his DID condition wasn't the traditional meaning, but a amplified version because of the supernatural aspect that has a huge part in his condition. In the comics they didn't even call the condition DID until later issues because it was very different from the DID we all know.

My theory is that Steven is a recently split alter. Layla did say that they hadn’t been in contact for months. In that time Steven must have formed and in an effort to keep his life and his mercenary work a secret from him as well as his desire to protect her. Once he realized that Steven was British he probably moved to London, got him a job, an apartment and a fish. Marc was also probably responsible for the voicemail box set up, which Steven thought was his mom’s- it could’ve helped Marc keep tabs on where and what Steven was doing as well. Since Marc has been host up until Steven came along it would make sense for him to have had a past life with a marriage. Steven has only been around for a few months it seems so his whole life as we know it, just revolves around his job and his fish.

I agree, I think Marc is the original, hence his life where he actually had a wife. He has been missing for 8 months, which is likely when Steven started to exist. They stated Steven's a bit off English accent is due to the fact he isn't real and Marc made up that accent when he split his personality.

There is no original, he would be the core ( I think that’s the proper term). A core is the alter that all the others split off from. The core is the one that was born to the body. Think of it this way, if you shatter a vase, it doesn’t become a million mini vases. Each piece is part of the vase and fit together, the make up the whole vase. it’s easy to think of Marc as the “ original” because that’s how he’s seen, and it makes sense unless you know how DID affects a child. when a child is born, their personality and sense of self is very weak, they know their name, and what they like and don’t like, but other more prominent parts that make up their personality is still developing. A child usually does not have a fully developed personality until about age 9. So if they end up going through a traumatic event, their mind is so fragile that it’s possible for that weak sense of self to fragment into pieces. Due to the severity of the trauma, amnesiac walls are formed and they separate these fragments from our poorly developed core. Over time, these fragments as well as the core are able to develop normally into separate people who are just as different as you and me might be. The purpose and roles of these “ alters” vary. Some hold those traumatic memories that are hidden from the core, some are there as protectors, some take on skills that might help the core manage a physical life, etc. cores aren’t always the host, but in this case, Marc was the host. Steven became host when Marc decided to only be out to service Konshu in order to protect Layla. I hope this all made sense. I have a major interest in psychology and personality disorders and I studied it a lot on my own for a few years.

According to the comics Steven is not real he was a fracture of Marc's personality the Marc Specter persona is the actual owner of the body the one who died and was brought back by Konchu, they have hinted at this a lot in these two episodes.

I want to say Marc is the original personality. Steven is the host, the one who does the day to day activities, but that doesn't mean he is the original personality. Steven has been calling his mom, but he has only been leaving voicemail and getting post cards. It is possible this was actually Marc making it look like he has a mother. My theory of Moon Knight and Mr. Knight being controlled by different alters turned out to be true, but I was expecting a third alter to control Mr. Knight. Still it does suit Steven.

Marc Died, but Khonshu brought him back. Stephen has always been there. From what little we understand, All alters always exist, but New Alters only emerge from the subconcious as a result of Trauma. Sometimes, more than one alter can emerge at a time. So, if Stephen is a new Alter, something happened to Marc after gaining their powers for Stephen to Exist.

So we have debut of mister Night. I love this. I like that you cannot see the jackal when Steven/Marc is fighting it. Just because something isn’t real to someone else does it mean it’s not real to you. We had to return of MCU purple power. I like that Arthur has his hands everywhere I love his cult members are part of the police corruption which gives me the idea that maybe Arthur wants to be the God he doesn’t want to be an avatar. I like the Disney+ jump from the previews that we see from one night. All the stuff that Layla likes is what Steven likes so I feel like Marc is the main personality and Steven is what he created later. Steven is definitely his softer side but I feel like all of that comes from Layla. The jacket is definitely based off of Anubis got of the dead in Egyptian mythology. A lot of this reminds me of the 90s movie Spawn just how he moves. khonshu is kind of a dick lol. With the difference personalities talking through mirrors it reminds me of extraordinary gentlemen Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

OK so remember the panther god in black panther bast is based on the Egyptian god and we’ve had mentioned to this connects the black panther in that way. Bast is based on real life mythology Bastet. Bastet was given the heart of ra. Funny enough wakanda had a heart shaped herb. Marc is Khonshu avatar so in a way since the black panther got his power from bast is he like her avatar. The asgardians are gods and we have seen a transfer of power from thor to steve Rogers however it be by a Thor’s hammer. THat brings me to relics of dr strange where they use weapons of higher beings to channel energy and power. I feel like Steven is the main alter but that Marc started taking over more and more when he was young. Steven seems very open while Marc is very angry and closed off. I'm guessing something happened when the original personality was a child to cause the alters to occur. When both Marc and Leyla were trying to get him to take the suit, Steven had a tiny meltdown; makes me think this has happened before and when Steven's overwhelmed Marc takes over but then held on to the body - which would have had to happen for Marc and Leyla to spend time together and get married.

@Night Josephine I get what you’re saying but I think it’s very likely Marc is still the main one like in the comics. There’s a lot of evidence to suggest this when you listen closely to some of the dialogue in both episodes, consider the relations he has with what people, the fact Marc was “a corpse” as they said (referencing his comic origin). Eventually I’m sure it’ll be revealed that Marc is the original

All the MCU shows started strong or intriguing but the ending has been 50/50 for me. They don't always land it.
