So there is a 3rd identity! Is it this Jake guy ya'll been tellin us about? We're ready to find out! We're hoping the next episode will include flashbacks about Marc's history so that we can learn more about this character. And we're wondering if Marc will be able to release Konshu. Will he even want to?

I feel like this 3rd one was actually who we thought was Marc in the beginning of the first eps. Like Marc started the mission, but was completely knocked out after going through the window, so it was just Steven and the 3rd, Kohnshu keeps yelling for Marc, at one point in the car chase he even yells "Wake Up Marc!" Which, why would he yell that if Marc was the one awake doing the flips with Steven. See what happens next week.

I love Indiana Jones meets The Mummy influenced in this episode. RIP Gaspard Ulliel. I also loved the hints to Jake Lockley in this show since episode 1. The visuals in this series are marvelous. The fight scenes in this episode were phenomenal. Arthur Harrow gives me Baron Zemo, Erik Killmonger, Thanos, and Ikaris vibes. Arthur Harrow is an excellent and terrifying villain. Arthur Harrow is also the king of gaslighting. The music in the show is terrific. The imprisoning of Khonshu was a fantastic scene. The other Gods have no chill and their bias against Khonshu.

Ammit was turned to stone just like Khonshu was. Her statue was then hidden somewhere in the desert. Her tomb is actually her stone statue.

Great reaction, ladies! My three big takeaways from this episode are: 1) Konshu is a BOSS!! 2) Oscar Isaac is absolutely slaying this role. His transitions from one character to the next are sublime! What he's doing is at once subtle...yet very jarring! I love it! =) 3) I now see why Konshu is so keen on drafting Layla to be his next avatar. She really impressed me during this episode. There's no doubt that she is VERY capable of being his "Fist of Vengeance". Keep up the great work, ya'll!!

I believe Harrow found the tomb but they’ve been trying to dig it out/dig to it’s entrance the whole episode. Harrow had a whole crew of diggers while he’s been going around distracting the gods and disrupting Marc/Khonsu from interfering

She's a "dead" God. He'd need to ressurect her to become her avatar. For now, he's just a former employee of one company looking to get a job with a new company that he believes is better. I'm not sure how he is getting any power from Ammit before she's brought back.

OK so remember the panther god in black panther bast is based on the Egyptian god and we’ve had mentioned to this connects the black panther in that way. Bast is based on real life mythology Bastet. Bastet was given the heart of ra. Funny enough wakanda had a heart shaped herb. Marc is Khonshu avatar so in a way since the black panther got his power from bast is he like her avatar. The asgardians are gods and we have seen a transfer of power from thor to steve Rogers however it be by a Thor’s hammer. THat brings me to relics of dr strange where they use weapons of higher beings to channel energy and power. Also a lot of this is based on Egyptian mythology which is In Africa another obvious connection to panther. Bastet is a direct child of ra and also his protector.

It seems that Yatzil, the Avatar of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of Music and Love, and possibly, Hathor herself, were sympathetic towards both Khonshu and Marc 🥺😣😔, that's why she helped give Marc the clue about Senfu's sarcophagus 🤔. Yatzil even mentioned that Khonshu used to enjoy Hathor's melodies. Possibly romantic feelings between the two deities 🤭🥰😉😁?

This is just real world fact no comics In Egyptian mythology sekhmet was ras general and the Dora in black panther wear her colors The story of Sekhmet, the Egyptian feline warrior goddess associated with both plague and healing, is considered by some to be one of the oldest vampire tales. Legend holds that the sun god, Ra, sent his daughter Sekhmet down to punish humankind for their disobedience. But after Sekhmet couldn't stop drinking blood amid her slaughter, Ra quelled her planet-draining thirst by dyeing a bunch of beer red (basically, she guzzled it all and slept for three days). Sekhmet and bast share the same soul the tribes of wakanda pray to bast.

Also, Set is the god of chaos and is how Llyra is a high priestness of Set in the Atlantis Attacks storyline involved with Namor. This is gonna tie into Black Panther 2 in some way. So Egypt is gonna have a lot of showdowns and prominence in this Phase 4 to Kang, Apocalypse, Mr. Sinister, Shadow King, F4, X-Men, Antman, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Atlantians etc.

Yes they are showing a third alter (maybe Jake Lockley) One thing I would say is Jake has no conscious at all, I can only imagine his body count At least Marc is willing to talk and has a compunction about not hurting kids.Complete cold blooded killer. Remember in the scene on the cliff Marc was just as confused as to Steven to who stabbed those guys. Harrow is serving a purpose for Ammitt, he has taken the initiative to bring her back, so his past doesn't matter. Harrow destroyed the sarcophagus to slow Marc and Layla down, He just didn't do a good job of getting rid of the entire clue. I am sure Harrow and his team is still digging ("no matter what keep digging") We .have no idea how far underground that tomb is, so he and his team may be digging that sight for weeks. Layla spent time in Madripour and steals expensive artifacts does she work for the Powerbroker (Sharon Carter) or is she one of Sharon's enemies? Remember Sharon was collecting all those expensive art and artifacts. . I noticed that when Moon Knight throws the crescent blades they make the same sound as the Ten Rings make when they return to him. The same as when the rings return to Shang and Wen Wu. Maybe a connection? Great Reaction!

I agree. There were many instances of Jake, episode 1 you’ve mentioned several also the date, and particularly, the 3 reflections. That continued in episode 2 including hints of Jake as he was entering the museum, he had a different accent and the guy he spoke to called him Scotty (Jake may have a Scottish accent) even the go,fish problem could have been Jake. I believe the final shot of episode two was Jake controlling the body while Steven and Marc were stuck in limbo. The third episode is littered with references to Jake.

It looks like the personalities are split between two extremes, good (Steven), bad (3rd persona), and Mark is the middle ground. It's also likely that the 3rd personality killed his girl's father and Mark knows. If Jake is the 3rd personality, then he's the one who does the dirt. Oh btw, Konshu had a romantic thing with the other God (the one that helped Mark) after the failed trial. That's likely she helped them.

The very last episode comes out like two days before multiverse of madness. So if we get any end credits, i feel like it'll be that one. And I don't think Harrow has dug ahmit up yet. For one i think they'll show us when he gets it. For two, yea he's definitely still running around messing with Marc and Layla to buy time.

I speculate that MCU's Marc Spector is the true identity and similar to Vision and Ultron respectively being essentially the best and worst distillations of Tony Stark's characteristics and nature, Steven and Jake are Marc's. Steven the passive and empathetic intellectual of Marc and Jake the aggressive and dispassionate physicality of Marc.

Ladies, Harrow found the location of Ahmet's tomb, but there is two thousand years of sand covering the tomb. Harrow's people are digging it out, but are not using modern tools. They are using shovels which will take a long time to dig the tomb out. Yes, Harrow went to the sarcophagus slow Marc, & Layla down from finding out where they are. Harrow hasn't reached the tomb as of yet. They can't use power equipment because the sound, smoke from engines, & dust will reveal their location. Lastly, Marc was a part of a group that was with Layla's father in the comics. I don't know why everybody assumes Marc kills her dad instead of one of the members of the group he was with. Let's think about it, he didn't kill himself when Khonsu found him. I don't know how they are playing this on this show, but one of his mortal enemies from that group killed everybody, & betrayed him. I'm hoping he will be the villain of season 2.

You had it mixed up. Mark was the fighter, Steven was not. Whenever he has the British accent it's Steven, not Mark,but it very interesting to see if we're getting another personality showing up..which would be fitting with the comics since Mark,who is the original personality, has about 4 personalities, with Steven being just one of them.

It is possible that the initial alter, Marc, gained/develop (correct me if I'm wrong) two alters, one for his love for Layla who's Steven and one for his mercenary profession, Jake who is their protector.

Great Reaction! The 3rd-Personality IS SHOWN IN THIS EPISODE & you meet Him A NUMBER OF TIMES. Pay attention to Oscar Isaac's FACE & you will be able to see his expressions & demeanor are NOT the same as Marc & Steven. Also the baseball-cap is a dead giveaway for Jake. Jake appears to be able TO KNOW what the other two are doing, while THEY clearly CAN'T & DON'T KNOW ABOUT HIM. That's #1. #2!? I love how everyone is so sure that Ammit is actually who Harrow is dealing with, but according to actual Egyptian Mythology Ammit doesn't judge souls.... Anubis does. So I've found it interesting that nobody has mentioned this & Steven with a V hasn't pointed this out either, meanwhile...!? It would be nice if Ammit is NOT the deity they find in the tomb nor is it Anubis. One of the few Marvel Comics Egyptian Gods who has been an ACTUAL THREAT TO EARTH & would lure mortals with their own intentions for doing so, would actually be SETH. While I highly doubt Seth will make an appearance in this show I have noticed that THE SHOW KEEPS POINTING OUT THAT TWO EGYPTIAN GODS ARE MISSING. And in THIS EPISODE we do NOT HEAR OF BOTH ANUBIS... and SETH, both of whom SHOULD ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN MENTIONED IN SOME WAY BY NOW. A Deep Easter Egg concerning Marvel Comics, the MCU, Fox's X-Men AND Oscar Isaac IS THE FACT that Isaac played Apocalypse in X-Men Apocalypse. Apocalypse is the oldest mutant who started off as a slave who became a conqueror during Ancient Egyptian times! Apocalypse WAS INSPIRED TO BECOME what he became in Marvel Comics & their movie tie-in's, because of a statue that told him of how great he could become & his destiny, regarding forcing mankind to evolve & Apocalypse's creed of "survival of the fittest", ironically? It may or may NOT have been a statue that was the size of what We saw in this episode of Imprisoned-Khonshu, since I can no longer remember the size of the statue in the comic, however....? Fun Fact: The statue that inspired Apocalypse to become what he became, was actually the Egyptian God SETH, in disguise. So now if You know anything about Apocalypse & then You look at how "Ammit's judgement" and even Arthur Harrow's "behavior is", where he has zero problems with lying, but? The very nature of Ammit's task, WOULD NOT ALLOW FOR THAT, but, for Seth? Tch, that's all day everyday, any day, to get His Way. To me it would be awesome if the actual person Harrow is actually working for, is Seth, who has a history in Marvel comics of doing things like manipulating others & pretending to be someone or something, that he isn't....

So here’s something I kept thinking of and some agree…some don’t but I think Agent Sitwell spoke of Moon Knight in The Winter Soldier when he talked about threats to Hydra. He said “a tv anchor in Cairo…Bruce Banner, Stephen Strange.” Also- I wonder if Sharon makes some sort of appearance since Madripoor was mentioned. Those people living in the MCU world have to be tired! They dealt with the blip and now the damn stars and sky are moving!

You sistas are the only channel besides New Rockstars asking the big brain questions! The woman on the left with the glasses inquired the best one if you're serving the gods, they can't interfere with another's will or did Marc catch a break since he has Steven to balance out his guilty conscience as a merc? As a fan of Marvel comics, this leaves me wondering: 1. How long did Harrow serve Khonshu, for what purpose and did his loved ones suffer as a result in something going awry? 2. Why did the Ennead imprison Amitt? 3. Does Amitt and Khonshu have a past working relationship that went to shit? After all Harrow quit his servitude to try to awaken Amitt and she knows it, as he has been granted some of her total power. 4. A war is coming and why are the Egyptian gods fighting another, when they are all judges of character? Who is conspiring to cause discord among them?

This episode really endeared me to Khonshu, although I've liked him from the start. A lot of folks have found him a bit cruel and self-serving. I just find him hilarious...and irreverent...and all the things. *lol* Just what he said in the temple while he was channeling through Marc to the other Gods/avatars made my softspot for him even more soft... I mean, there's a desperation in him. He's been banished, shunned by his fellow gods for, as he put it, "not abandoning mankind". I'm curious about the details that have contributed to his "outlier" circumstance. What did he actually DO that caused the other gods to unite against him?...aaaand what was his relationship with Hathor? Her avatar was kind to Marc and the only one that was trying to help him... Hmmmm? 🤔 Were she and Khonshu boo-ed up? 👀 There's SOMETHING there. I feel he's trying to DESPERATELY to restore his reputation, but he's outnumbered and getting all this pushback...Which ALSO leads me to believe there's some bullshit & fuckery going on with those other avatars and Harrow! Y'all just gon believe him and not investigate?!? I call CAHOOTS! 🤨 ...and him trying to further discount Khonshu by calling into question his choice of avatar! Taking the low road by bringing up Marc's mental illness! 😡 Boy, that ran me hot! BASTARD!... Now, what we AIN'T gon do!... I wanted to jump through this screen! 😁

@What WE Watchin'?!, This episode showed us Marc doing his thing, and I think we can all agree that Marc is not the savage we saw in the first story. The people lay slain at Marc's feet and the people lay slain at Marc's fee in this episode is the work of Jake! Steven in the comics was sort of like Bruce Wayne in that he dealt with high society, getting information from them. Steven in this series is a nice book smart guy. Jake in the comics was the rough one who got info from people on the streets. And it looks like Jake is still the rough one, albeit a pure savage in the MCU. I agree with whomever said maybe Marc didn't kill Layla's dad. Marc's coldness makes him look guilty, but I just think he doesn't want to talk about it, as he remembers that night but only afterwards. He blacked out then too, I bet, and since he couldn't explain what happened, he likely assumed he did it too, but just can't believe it and wants to forget about it. I can't explain why Jake would do such a thing, but this episode sure is setting him up to be the black sheep. Still, we shouldn't overlook the fact that Marc went to the Alps to steel the scarab from Arthur's gang. This episode seemed to imply that Layla's dad found the scarab. What if Arthur, as Khonshu's avatar, killed the scientist and archeologists at the dig site? That night was likely Arthur's turning point. We don't know Arthur's full story, but we do know that he agreed with Khonshu's form of justice. He told us in the second story, his issue with Khonshu was that Khonshu's form of justice was too slow. I don't know why Khonshu was after Ammit in the first place, as she is entombed--she has no avatar and isn't able to do as she pleases like Khonshu or the other gods. Arthur is looking for her tomb to free her so that he can become her avatar. Arthur told us in the second episode that the staff he carries belonged to Ammit's first avatar so maybe he, along with Khonshu, defeated that avatar. It was likely then that he wanted to become her new avatar and made his move and got the council to free him of Khonshu's grip. Khonshu's obsession with ending Ammit and any possibility of her return by destroying her entombed body pushes him to do whatever it takes to get the job done. It doesn't help that he views humans as servants of gods and nothing more. Whatever the case, I'm sure we'll understand more as the story unfolds. This is one interesting story for sure.

I love your reactions. I have a real problem with that so-called trial with the other avatars. What fact finder would simply take the word of a person who was accused of a crime with absolutely no corroboration from an outside source? Wouldn't any one of us at the very least check out the place where Harrow came from to see for ourselves what he was doing in the desert before concluding that he had done nothing wrong? Anyone with children knows better, and they are supposed to be gods who are millennia old. They apparently have forgotten that people lie sometimes. In addition, why aren't Marc and Steven questioning Konshu about which personality killed the two men at the cliff, since they claim that it wasn't them and Konshu was there the entire time? I don't think that Ammit was imprisoned in stone. If Ammit was turned to stone, then how can Harrow access her power? And if he can and she was imprisoned in stone, then Marc and Steven should be able to use their powers as well now that Konshu is imprisoned in stone. However, the last scene seems to show that Marc and Steven lost their powers.

Nice reaction. Lots of cliff dropping going on in Marvel. Why they have their court appearance what I want to know is why didn't he puch harder about what Hawthorn was doing in the desert. Force or trick him into saying why he was visiting the desert. He needed Daredevil at that moment.

Remember Layla said the scarab leads to Ammitt’s ushabti, it’s not the actual tomb, so I don’t think Harrow found the right thing.

QUESTION: What if the Jake alter is the one who popped in/out in episode 1??? I think Marc would kill people if he had to but using the dance (LOL) fight on the rooftop it looks more like he's inclined to whoop your ass first. Since Marc and Steven are denying killing those 2 guys from the roof - I vote Jake did. If Jake has no problem killing then what if he also did the killing in episode 1?!?!
